Adventure Time with Heather and Vicky!

Hi lovelies!! ! Yes I'm back already! I have had a very exciting and busy week this past week. I got to spend some time doing some fun things with my best friend Vicky (Hii Vicky!). I really wanted to share about the fun places we went and our adventures.

My face from like 2-3 weeks ago. Hiiii!

We FINALLY got to go to my birthday surprise. Where exactly did we go?  We went to a tea house!  As well as my favorite tea shop.

It was such a beautiful tea house called Tea with Tracy. It took us about an hour to get there but it was SO worth the drive! Plus the drive was fun, singing to Fall Out Boy and the Wicked soundtrack. And of course....Take Off by 2PM . I HAVE to listen to that song whenever I'm on a 20+ minute drive.

When we walked in, I was seriously in awe. It was just so beautiful!! The place didn't look like a typical coffee shop or cafe. It was very classy and charming. It was small and cozy.  I felt like every inch of the place was meticulously decorated.

Even when I went into the bathroom, it was stunning. They had nice tea related pictures hanging on the wall and Victorian styled china dishes to hold things such as paper towels in the bathroom. I didn't go back to take pictures because I didn't want to be that creepy person bringing their phone into the bathroom. They even had a good sized shelved area displaying the teas they use, available for purchase.

There were two rooms in the tea house, when we walked in we were led to the seemingly smaller room, to a little circular table. The table was beautifully decorated, I was just so giddy with excitement. It had a white cloth tablecloth. A cute little lamp, a menu in a cute ornate frame, cloth napkins with silverware and a china sugar bowl with sugar cubes and tongs.

There were also beautiful china tea cups and saucers. This was my tea cup:

This was Vicky's:

The room had lace curtains and really cute twinkling string lights I like to refer to as fairy lights. They really added to the atmosphere. Even the chairs were beautiful!

We were given a good sized menu of all of the teas that they serve. I was really impressed of their selection. They also had two themed sections. Princess teas:

And superhero teas!

We decided on strawberry green tea and their afternoon tea menu. We were brought a beautiful tea pot with our tea.

We also got beautiful glasses with water. I was even able to get lemon and honey, which I frequently put in my tea. I was brought some itty bitty lemon wedges in a cute little cup.

With the tea house's afternoon tea course along with the pot of tea,  we were each able to pick a type of little tea sandwich, each a large scone and we each got to choose a dessert. We were brought lovely china plates and the food was brought on equally lovely china plates on a sort of cupcake stand.

These are the tea sandwiches we chose! Vicky went with chicken salad, I went with baked ham and Gouda.

These are the scones! Their scone options were limited and a bit out of the ordinary. We both got cherry almond, which was delicious! They also brought us whipped butter for the scones and homemade strawberry jam in a cute little cup.

For dessert, we each chose something different. Vicky went with chocolate chip cookies of which she got two of. I went with Swedish brownies.

Now I expected actual brownies, so I was really surprised with what they actually were. Swedish brownies are actually pretty much almond flavored cake with a brownie consistency. It was really good but very rich and sweet. I couldn't even finish one and had to bring the leftovers home.

Here is Vicky being all cute and gorgeous as always

Our afternoon tea was very lovely! The food and the tea were wonderful. The atmosphere was beautiful and it was nice to have a little tea party and catch up. I hadn't seen Vicky since June and I missed her so much!!!

From there, we drove to my favorite tea shop Simpson & Vale, the shop that I discussed back in February. We walked around looking at and smelling the teas. I was beyond thrilled to be back and thrilled to introduce Vicky to more types of tea since she is just starting to get into it. As part of my birthday gift, Vicky bought me a tin of tea and some samples of some other teas (thank you so much again!!)

I got a tin of Creme de la Berry which is a wonderful strawberries and cream flavored green tea. The samples I got are Creme Brulee, English Toffee, Strawberry Cupcake and Chocolate Caramel.

We went to some random shops to browse afterwards. We ran around Home Goods trying to take pictures together. This annoying woman kept following us every time we tried to go to a deserted isle.

This is the first time since I was 18 that Vicky and myself have taken a picture together!! It definitely needed to happened, we both have changed so much since high school. I look like a hot mess admittedly. It was a rainy, but hot and humid day. I don't fair well with heat and humidity. We had been out and about for most of the day so at that point, I was sweating and my makeup was running. Plus my hair was up.

They had just started to get their Halloween decorations in so of course I was spazzing over those and some beautiful tea cups. Seriously, I go nuts when I see stores start to put out their Halloween products. It's the perfect time of year to shop for my year round decor! XD

On Thursday we went on another adventure to the mall for most of the day. I had been achy for days after this adventure, on Friday I could barely walk. I made the mistake of wearing flip flops to the mall, but it was worth it because I didn't get as overheated as I normally do in sneakers.

We had such a blast shopping! It was a beautiful drive to the mall, a very bright sunny day. The clouds looked like a painting.

I took a picture of the beautiful old carousel that the mall has near the entrance at the food court. When I was a little kid, one of my dad's relatives worked running the carousel so I would get some free rides on it.

We first hit Lush, I was devastated to find that they were totally out of their wonderful face masks. They just released two new ones that I really wanted to try. I had brought my 5 empty product pots to turn in for a free mask via their recycling program. The store was expecting a shipment of masks later that day, we went back to Lush probably 4 times and found out that there was a problem at the factory with the shipment. It figured that the one time I can get to the mall that I couldn't get a face mask. It's infuriating!!!

We then went to Bath and Body works, mine and Vicky's love ❤❤❤❤. We spend so much time walking around smelling everything. They were just beginning to get their fall scents in and I never had gotten to sample their fall scents before.

From there we went to Sephora. We had a funny experience there. When looking through skincare a Beyoncè song came on (Naughty Girl), suddenly the music got REALLY loud and we were wondering wtf it was about. We then realized that a Sephora employee was walking around singing to it really loudly. It was SO funny!!

On our way to Forever 21 to look at clothes we came across a new store called Kiko Milano that drew us in. It was a makeup store!! It was small but had a lot of nice products all at seemingly decent prices. Not drugstore prices but certainly not high end. It was like a little boutique. They had a large sale going on so we thought we would take a look. Vicky spazzed a bit over the price of the nail polishes they had on sale. We both LOVE nail polish.

After that  we hit CVS and the beauty supply store to look at more nail polish. I helped Vicky choose a blush from the Nyx clearance sale they had. We then ventured to Forever 21 to look at clothes.

We checked out Claire's because I love to get earrings from there. They always have some really cute ones. I was hoping to find some tea cup earrings but could only find latte and coffee ones. Oh well the hunt continues!

Lastly we went to Hot Topic. We always go there last because we KNOW we'll end up blowing all of our money there. I spent a good while looking for the anime section and going back and forth looking at necklaces. I really wanted a Ouija board cameo necklace they had but the price was a bit steep for what it was.

They had a separate small Attack on Titan section, small Black Butler section, anime shirt section and Dragon Ball Z section but I couldn't find the rest. I was miffed because I had yet to see anything Sailor Moon related. The anime shirts they had were Blue Exorcist, Soul Eater, AOT, DBZ, Sword Art Online and Bleach. I didn't take many pictures because Hot Topic is so damn dark!! I did see these awesome AOT water bottles. Yes, I spazzed. No I didn't check the price, I was afraid of the expense to be honest.

I FINALLY found the rest of the anime stuff and accidentally yelled "Yes, I found my section!!!"...I got some odd states xD. I spazzed so hard at the extra Black Butler stuff, Sailor Moon stuff, SAO and the Free! Wallet.

Curse you horrible Hot Topic lighting!

I laughed my ass off when I found this, an Attack on Titan Titan mask!! XD

While waiting for Vicky to decide on what else she wanted to get to take advantage of the sale I looked through the bucket of buttons at the checkout desk. I was looking for a Sailor Moon one but couldn't find it. One of the employees literally dumped it out to help me find a Chibi Moon button, but we kept finding Saturn ones. Why did no one want you Saturn? ;___;. If I didn't find the larger Sailor Moon button I would have gotten you Saturn. I also found a Black Butler Button and a Kirito one. I already have an SAO button so I didn't get the Kirito one. The employee was awesome, we chatted for probably 20 minutes while Vicky tried to decide what to buy. We talked about Sailor Moon and how much of a bitch Rei is to Usagi a lot of the time. She was really into anime and Harry Potter. I love Hot Topic employees!

I was having asthmatic problems and I was exhausted so from there we left the mall and headed home. But it was such a wonderful and fun day!!

So what did my mall haul consist of?

At Lush, I got a small slice of their Rockstar soap. I am in LOVE with their soaps. This particular one smells like candy. I also considered Honey I Washed The Kids because it smelled like heavenly caramel.

I got samples of D'fluff and Angels on Bare Skin to Try. I was all out of Ocean Salt and couldn't buy a pot so I got a sample of that as well.

YAY for lazy pictures!!!!

At Sephora I just got 3 samples, two face masks and Too Faced Hangover primer. I've been DYING to try it. Vicky purchased one of Sephora's new house brand sleeping masks and one of their sheet masks, I'm excited to hear her verdicts on the products.

At Bath and Body Works I got an Iced Coconut Coolada shower gel and a French Lavender & Honey lotion. The lotion I got for free because I had a coupon, the shower gel I got on clearance. I refuse to pay full price for anything at B&BW because I know that just about everything eventually goes on sale and they always email coupons.

The Iced Coconut Coolada is described as having the key notes of coconut milk, passion fruit sorbet, orange zest, creamy vanilla and lime ice. To me it smells like coconut with a hint of pineapple and vanilla. It is a refreshing summery scent. I didn't like the scent of the matching lotion but I LOVED this shower gel. A thing to keep in mind with B&BW products is that the scents of matching shower gels, body sprays and lotions often differ at least a bit.

The French Lavender & Honey is described as having a fresh blend of French lavender, lily of the valley and nectarine de province warmed with sun kissed honey and white oak must. To me it smells like sweetened lavender. It reminds me a bit of one of my favorite Bath and Body Works lotions, Honey Sweetheart. This is also my first bottle with the new formula and packaging. I am loving the feel of the new formula!!!

Sorry for the shit-tastic picture!

At Kiko Milano I got this kawaii nail polish. It's a light sort of robin's egg pastel blue with blue specs in it. It is called Cupcake nail polish, I unfortunately can't find a shade name. They had a huge sale in the store and I got this really cheap, it was under $2. When I put the change down of $2.02 (price + tax. Sales tax is ridiculous in Connecticut.), I cracked myself up by saying "Now that's my two sense cents". Ha ha ha, I'm so punny!! Seriously though, I'm so excited to test out this color.

Lastly at Hot Topic, I got all of this taking advantage of the buy 1 get 1 half off sale. I love all of their sales. Back when I started shopping there when I was in middle school, they never had sales!!! They also had these little cards they would stamp with each purchase where you would eventually earn a discount. Now they have the HT+1 rewards program.

Anyway, I bought this Black Butler hair bow. Vicky had to talk me into it and convinced me I needed it. She was so right.

Now I can work some Phantomhive realness. Yes...I have watched too much of RuPaul's Drag Race.

I got this really cute little galaxy hair bow.

This was so hard to photograph ;____;

I got two buttons, a large Sailor Moon one and a small Black Butler one.

I got this beautiful long crystal necklace. I am VERY into crystal jewelry at the moment.

Lastly I got this Sailor Moon poster.

I haven't had the chance to even unwrap this. Need to play some poster/wall tetris first!

What the poster actually looks like

They had a good amount of anime posters hidden in the corner. I spazzed so hard when I found them, I probably got some odd looks. I already had 2 smaller Sailor Moon posters in my room so I was a bit hesitant (the other choices were between Soul Eater, Black Butler and Ouran High School Host Club.) But Vicky talked me into it because I'm a SUPER fan of Sailor Moon. Plus it had my Mamoru baby *^*. If I didn't get that poster, I totally would've gotten the Ouran one since I already have a huge Black Butler wall scroll. I have absolutely no idea where to put the poster and I'll have to move stuff to make room, but Vicky was right. I NEEDED IT!!!

My room is becoming SO weeby!!! Or in simpler terms it's turning into a nerdy-ass anime room. I can't help it, I love my shows!! When I get really into something, I pour my entire soul into it. Slowly my room wallpapered with band posters is being covered in anime posters and figures. I love my habitat though, and that's what truly counts.

A few other exciting things happened last week. I began working on a book I was thinking of writing thanks to urging from my friend Natasha (Hey girl!!!! ) and of course Vicky. It is non fiction and a bit about my life. It isn't an autobiography but rather of my experiences with something. I'm not sure if I will go anywhere with it or even finish it but it is an exciting endeavor. I miss writing a lot.

I also found out that one of my oldest friends who is like family finally set her wedding date (after being engaged for like 3 years!!) I'm so happy for her and her fiancè. Even more news, I'll be part of the bridal party (I've never been a bride's maid before) and I'll be doing the makeup for the wedding. I know it'll be a lot of work but I couldn't be happier to be a part of her special day ❤.

Lastly, this blog has gotten over 2,000 page views!! Yaay!!!

Thank you so much to everyone that reads this blog from the casual readers to my dedicated ones. I love you all so much and am so grateful that you care enough about what I have to say to read my posts. I never thought so many people would read my blog!!

I'm sorry that this post was so long! I had such a fun time that I wanted to share all of our adventures and my hauls. I hope you enjoyed reading that little slice of my life and that my biggest blog fan (Vicky ) enjoyed reading about our experiences too! It's been such a busy and crazy week for me, I'm happy that my anxiety problems didn't totally ruin all of it. I'm starting to slowly learn how not to let it completely control my life.

This week we have Vicky's birthday adventure and another busy week for me. I'm stoked to have some more fun with her and to give her her gifts.

Hope you all have a lovely day, my dears

January Lust List : DVDs

Hi everyone! As you remember (because I wouldn't shut up about it) I had a poll on one of my last posts to help me choose the next topic. Thank you so much to the two people that voted, you're awesome ^_^!! As requested, I am writing today about the 12 (with two bonuses) movies and shows on my wishlist that I am lusting over this month. I say DVD because I'm behind the times and still don't own a Bluray player (I know, so sad ;__;) This is in no particular order.

1. Hellsing Ultimate Vols 9 and 10 Bluray & DVD combo pack
I already own Hellsing Ultimate volumes 1-8, but the price of 9 and 10 has been too steep for me to justify getting just yet. I want this set so much to complete my collection. It had two of the most badass episodes of the series. Note: Amazon has stopped selling this themselves because of an apparent problem with the stock. The price has skyrocketed. I hope it'll be back and cheaper soon!!

2. The Purge 2, Purge: Anarchy
I loved the first Purge movie and I've been dying to see this one. I have heard that it's everything the first movie should have been. It was towards the top of my Christmas list, but I never got it.

3. Annabelle
I am a big fan of the Warrens. I absolutely loved The Conjuring so of course I had to check this out. I actually just watched it last night and I loved it! It wasn't as good as The Conjuring was but pretty damn close! I can't wait until The Conjuring 2 comes out, as of right now it isn't scheduled to be released until next year.

4. Maleficent
I saw this in the theater and loved it. Maleficent has always been one of my favorite Disney villains. Angelina Jolie was SO fierce and badass in this movie and I love that Disney didn't make it well, a typical Disney movie.

5. Adventure Time season 4
Adventure Time is one of my many favorite shows. I don't own any of the seasons and would actually love to own them all. I chose season 4 for this list because Netflix doesn't have it and it contains of my favorite episodes: Fionna and Cake. I LOVE the Fionna and Cake episodes. I wish Cartoon Network would make us a spinoff or at least give us more than one of their episodes a year.

6. Descendants of Darkness vols 1 and 4
Also known as Yami no Matsuei. It is a lesser known anime series that I discovered while I was in middle school. My best friend and I were obsessed with this show, she owned volume 4 so we would have marathons of both of our collections whenever we had sleepovers. It's about an organization that handles the processing of souls after death. The main character Tsuzuki Asato and then his partner Hisoka Kurosaki are shinigami that work for the judgement division of the organization, having to get the dead people and bring them to trial for judgement of how they lived their lives. Tsuzuki and Hisoka are often mixed up in an investigation of some mystery that they have to solve. The show deals heavily with the occult, my favorite story arc being the Devil's Song episodes. It introduced me to my favorite classical piece, The Devil's Trill by Giuseppe Tartini.

It is gory, creepy and has some yaoi (I LOVE my yaoi!). I own volumes 2 and 3, but not 1 and 4. This  show is out of print and you can only buy the DVDs used now, for years I have been hunting for them and I just recently found them on amazon. I need to complete my collection.

7. Into The Woods
I saw this movie with one of my friends this past week and it was fantastic. I love musicals and of course I was bound to love it since it IS based on a sondheim (the composer to one of my favorite movies, Sweeney Todd) play. Although the plot was rushed (in their defense, they were cramming a possibly 3-4 hour play into a 2 hour movie) it was great and the music was great. Plus it had Meryl Streep. Meryl was fierce. Meryl is queen. Though this is still in theaters, it is up for pre-order and releases in March.

8. The Addams Family (1960s) vol 1.
I love the original black and white Addams Family TV show from the 1960s. Carolyn Jones as Morticia Addams is queen!! It is one of the very few things I can stand in black and white. I would love to own any volume of this show, but volume 1 is what's on my amazon wish list.

9. Chrono Crusade: Complete Series
This is another beloved anime I discovered in middle school. I was obsessed with this as well. My summary of this may not be so great, as it has been so long since I've been able to watch this show. It is about the Madgalene order, an organization that destroys demons. The main characters are a nun named Rosette Christopher and her sidekick (who happens to be a demon) Chrono. Throughout the series they are hunting for Rosette's missing brother Joshua, fighting demons and discovering dark secrets along the way.

It is a great lesser known series. I normally dislike shows about nuns or anything religious but Rosette is a badass nun! I love the whole demon aspect of the show and how the nuns shoot them like crazy with their guns. I love that Rosette isn't a typical nun. Her and Chrono are like the black sheep.  I definitely recommend checking this out, especially if you liked Trinity Blood.

10. Modern Family: any season!
I love Modern Family! It is one of my favorite shows, I sadly don't own any of it but I want all of it. It is what I like to call one of my happy shows: a show that just comforts me and that I can watch over and over. I watch reruns of the show all the time and have seen some episodes probably 20+ times. I just love it so much!

11. Game of Thrones season 4
Game of Thrones is my favorite show (since True Blood is over and though I love it, went downhill as the seasons went on. The last season was bullshit). I own seasons 1-3 and need to own this one. Plus this season has the purple wedding, which was an oh so beautiful thing.

12. The Fault In Our Stars
I haven't seen this yet, but I read the book. The book was so fantastic that I read the entire thing in a day. This book made me cry harder than any other book. I really want to see the movie and see how it compares.

Bonuses:

Sailor Moon season 1 part 2
I have this pre-ordered already so it technically can't be part of this list, but I am lusting over it SO much! I already own part 1. Part 2 contains my favorite episode (the episode where Mamoru discovers Usagi is Sailor Moon and Usagi learns she's princess Serenity), I'm really excited to see how it is uncut and with the new dub. It comes out February 10, I should have it in my possession on release day. Just a few more weeks!!! Would anyone like me to review the set when I get it? Or even review set 1? I also can't wait until Sailor Moon R is released, I am DYING to own it uncut.

Black Butler: Book of Circus
This hasn't even been dubbed or announced in the US yet, so it doesn't truly count. But I loved this series so much! Black Butler is one of my favorites and they really did this justice with the manga. It was one of my favorite manga arcs and it was just great to see animated.

So that's it! Thank you for reading this post, I hope you enjoyed this. Any fans of any of the shows/movies above? If you would like any other lust lists or have any topic suggestions let me know in a comment or you can even tweet me! I should mention that you don't need to make an account to comment and you can do it anonymously. Hope you're all having a lovely evening (or day if you're reading this during the day) <3

My top 6 favorite animes...because I'm SO indecisive!

Hi everyone! Yes, I'm back so soon! Did you miss me? It's been a whole few hours! Hehe. I decided to put this up quickly so that you will have a legit first post (my other two don't really count much) to read! Today I will be discussing my top 6 favorite animes (because I can't choose just 5). This is in no particular order.

                                                 1. Sailor Moon

This was the first anime I ever watched, I have watched it since I was a little kid further back than I can recall. I am a huge fan of it, it is very dear to my heart. I remember running home from the bus stop that I would get dropped off at after school every day to catch it at 4:00 on Toonami. I'm pretty sure I ended up falling and rolling down the hill I live on quite a few times but Sailor Moon was worth it!

I literally cried when I heard that it was making a comeback, I had waited SO many years to have my beloved show back. I'm so happy to have it back as well as to have Sailor Moon Crystal ( I can write about that show too if anyone is interested).

Sailor Moon is an anime based on the manga by Naoko Takeuchi. It's about a young girl named Usagi (Serena if you watched the 90s DIC dub) who comes across a talking cat named Luna. Luna reveals to Usagi that she is Sailor Moon. Sailor Moon along with her friends of the Sailor Senshi (or scouts) uses her powers of love, justice and the moon to defeat their evil enemies, protect the moon, and the earth. It is the essential magical girl show and truly started the craze.

There are 5 different seasons or series to Sailor Moon, they are:
  • Sailor Moon
  • Sailor Moon R
  • Sailor Moon S
  • Sailor Moon Super S
  • Sailor Moon Sailor Stars
Each season has its own villains and storylines. What I love so much about this show is it isn't a typical "damsel in distress" show. In this show, the women are the strong ones! Tuxedo Mask, Sailor Moon's boyfriend and "super hero" friend to the senshi usually is the one that has to be saved. He is kidnapped or captured at least a few times and the girls have to save him. Tuxedo Mask also doesn't always interfere; he many times has stood on the sidelines giving Sailor Moon the encouragement to realize that she does have the strength to get out of a bind on her own.

Sailor Moon pushes girl power, that friendship is worth more than gold, that it's ok to be different, to stand against discrimination and to fight for what you believe in.

                                              2. Black Butler

I fell in love with this show at the very first episode, the very first time I watched it. It is based in Victorian London (which I have a major obsession/love for). Black Butler or Kuroshitsuji is based on the manga by Yana Toboso. It is about a young orphaned earl named Ciel Phantomhive. He is the queen's guard dog. He has the job of solving macabre mysteries that the queen would rather have cleaned under the rug. His butler who also happens to be a demon that he made a contract with named Sebastian Michaelist assists him.
This show has so much that I love. It has the Victorian setting, which is a time period I have always been fascinated with. It has a beautiful gothic design. It also has a horror element. A lot of the storyline is dark and deals with the occult, such as demons, cult sacrifices, ghosts and Jack the Ripper. There is also a good deal of comedy to balance everything out.

Black Butler has 3 Seasons: Black Butler, Black Butler 2 and Black Butler: Book of Circus. The second season unless you truly enjoy the show isn't really worth watching. It has nothing to do with the over all plot and wasn't even in the manga. Many fans despise it. Season 3 also ignores everything from season two, leaving the poor anime only fans very confused. I do have to point out there are subtle yaoi undertones here (and I love it!). Yana was originally going to publish the manga as a yaoi, but her publishers would not let her thinking it wouldn't sell. She actually does make her own yaoi doujinshi (fan made manga) and from what I've heard sells them at conventions. Way to stick it to the man, Toboso-sama!

I do read and keep up with the manga, it is my favorite manga. I really hope they develop more story arcs into anime. Book of Circus stayed very true to the manga.

                                               3. Sword Art Online

The show that everyone loves to hate! As a heads up, please don't comment about how much you hate this show. I really don't care.

Sword Art Online is based on the light novel series by Reki Kawahara. It is about a boy named Kazuto Kirigaya who is known by his username Kirito. He is a beta tester for the virtual reality game called Sword Art Online. He enters the game on the first day it is online to the public and realizes something startling: he can't log out! The gamemaker has trapped every single player in Sword Art Online. They can not log out and if they die in the game, they die in real life. Although Kirito is a die hard solo player, him along with his friends Asuna (Also his eventual girlfriend), Klein, Liz, Agil and the many people they meet along the way must beat the game to free everyone before it's too late.

I love this show so much, it has a lot of action but also some romance and a little comedy. The characters do have layers to them. It also has a beautiful and kickass soundtrack. I love the whole Sword Art Online world - the whole sort of medeival setting where you fight monsters with swords. I'm a sucker for a good sword fight.

I also love that SAO has strong female characters. Asuna is one of my favorite anime characters of all time. She fights for herself and is a badass at it! She isn't always hiding or waiting for a man to save her. She's even had to save Kirito before. I do however dislike what they did to her in the 2nd half of season 1, about Alfeim Online. They turned her into the damsel in distress. I really wish they had done the opposite and made Kirito the damsel.

There are 2 (technically 3) seasons of SAO - Sword Art Online and Alfeim Online (AKA the fairy arc) are both in season 1, but feel like two seperate seasons. Then there is Sword Art Online II, which features the Gun Gale Online arc, the Calibur arc and Mother's Rosario.

I do in fact read the light novels! I am currently on volume 9, Alicization Beginning. These books are amazing and even better than the anime. If a lot of the haters (especially the ones bitching about Kirito and Asuna's relationship being rushed) read the books, they wouldn't whine so much!

                                 4. Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood

Pretty much every big anime fan has seen some form of Fullmetal Alchemist. Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood is the re-do of the original anime, Fullmetal Alchemist. The original FMA anime veered drastically from the plot of the manga, so Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood was born! It's based on the manga by Hiromu Arakawa, the whole point of the show was to do what FMA didn't...follow the plot of the manga! I haven't read the manga but I've heard it follows it to a T.

FMA: Brotherhood is about two brothers, Edward and Alphonse Elric. Their beloved mother died when they were young boys, so Ed decided to use Alchemy to try to bring her back. In this show, Alchemy is the art of magic combined with science to manipulate and alter matter using energy. However, Ed failed drastically. Alchemy law calls for equal exchange and it is taboo to try to bring the dead back to life. Ed looses an arm and a leg in the process and Al losses his body. Ed happens to bind Al's soul to a suit of armor just in time.

As a result of the tragedy, Ed becomes a state alchemist to use his talent to help his and Al's quest to find the philosopher's stone to get their original bodies back.

This show is a masterpiece. The artwork is beautiful and so much better than the original FMA. When watching this show, it feels like you are watching a movie. It has such a rich plot as well as a fantastic score.

                                               5. Hellsing Ultimate

"The bird of Hermes is my name, eating my wings to make me tame."

Hellsing Ultimate is like FMA: Brotherhood, another show doing what the original failed to do. Hellsing Ultimate follows the manga plot, by Kouta Hirano. It is a 10 episode (all episodes being about an hour long) OVA series.

Hellsing Ultimate is about the Hellsing Organization, which keeps England safe from supernatural threats. The Hellsing Organization is headed by Sir Integra Fairbrook Wingates Hellsing (who is a woman, despite being called sir) and she has a deadly tool - Alucard the rogue bloodthirsty vampire. She also has the badass police girl - turned vampire (by Alucard), Seras Victoria. In Hellsing Ultimate they fight their threat of the Millennium Organization  - a group of Nazis that transforms humans into vampires and their leader is obsessed with war, wanting war just for no other reason than to have a war.

This show is another masterpiece. Each episode is like a movie. It has so much horror in it. Very gory, which I love! Though is has very disturbing moments involving rape (I luckily was warned and able to look away from such scenes). This is the perfect show to any idiot that believes anime is just for kids. Alucard is a very badass character that is not to be messed with. He is also a sexy beast voiced by (the swoon-worthy vocal talent of) Crispin Freeman. I had always liked the original Hellsing, as soon as I saw this on Toonami I was in love. Right after Christmas I got myself volumes 1-8 (just need 2 more!!).

                                               6. Code Geass

Code Geass (or rather Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion) is about a teen named Lelouch Lamperouge. He is a Brittanian prince in hiding in a place called Area 11 (formerly Japan), after his mother was assassinated. His real name is Lelouch Vi Brittania. Brittania invaded Japan and surpessed the Japanese people forcing them to live in poverty while they live a grand lifestyle (Hunger Games anyone?).

Lelouch had become very bored of his life and not only wants to do something meaningful but he is tired of what the Brittanian Empire has done. He wants to make the world a better place for his blind and disabled sister, Nunnally. As well as find out who killed their mother and take revenge on them.

On one of his gambling trips he stumbles upon C.C. (or C 2), who gives him the power of Geass. With this new power, Lelouch can command anyone to do whatever he wants. He uses this power to become Zero and starts a rebellion against Brittania. He has to juggle school, his secret identity as Zero and keep his best friend Suzaku, a member of the Brittanian military from discovering who he truly is.

This show is another masterpiece. It is very grand and has a rich plot which is extremely well written. It has a lot of suspense and action. It has a season two called Code Geass R2, but the first season is highly superior. In my fangirl mind I like to imply slight yaoi undertones between Lelouch and Suzaku, I love that  pairing.

Wow that was a long post! I hope you enjoyed it though ^_^! Would anyone else like to see 4-5 more of my favorite animes? Seriously, there are a lot I love.

Anyone watching this season's winter anime? I'm watching Sailor Moon Crystal, Tokyo Ghoul, Durarara 2 and Cute High Earth Defense Club LOVE! (AKA the magical boys anime). I also really want to check out Death Parade, but I haven't gotten to it yet. It's kind of nice not to be watching a ton...I watched so many (for me anyway) over the summer O___O.

If you liked that post, want me to review anything else mentioned in this post or simple just want to talk to me, please leave a comment below! ^_^ <3
