Simply Earth Essential Oils - Review & Their Cause

Today I'm going to review and discuss a brand I'm not only loving, but that I feel you all should know about! It's called Simply Earth - they make essential oils and various other products such as air freshener and foot odor eliminator with essential oils. I first discovered them when they were having a referral promotion for the launch of their essential oil line and I won some oils. I was SO extremely excited to try these oils. I recently started working with essential oils not only in my Wiccan practices but also in my daily life.

Now what makes this company so special vs. other essential oil makers? They are the kindest and most caring company I have ever come across. Their goal isn't just to make money, their goal is to help people! They not only strive to raise awareness for different causes but they also donate portions of their profits. 13% of their total profits goes towards ending human trafficking. Why that particular number? The average age of human trafficking victims is 13. And if that weren't wonderful enough, they also choose a different charity each month and donate 7.5% of their profits to that. I asked Simply Earth's co- founder, Lee Veldkamp what inspired him to sell essential oils and to donate the proceeds to charity. His response was:

 "I'm a serial entrepreneur with a big heart for people. I just saw a need to connect beauty products with a bigger cause. You have these brands doing "real beauty" and then they use fake models or what not and it just makes me angry. We wanted to create something that was really authentic and gave back to protect woman's beauty.
 And essential oils because they are so much for DIY beauty and home cleaning products and they smell amazing."

 It really is true that Mr. Veldkamp and the rest of the Simply Earth company have big hearts. In every email I have received as being a member of their World Changers Club as well as every correspondence I have had with them, they have gone above and beyond for their customers to ensure that their needs are met and that they're happy. They even have a 100% satisfaction guarantee. Not that I ever think anyone will have to use that policy.

My experience with Simply Earth essential oils has been nothing short of great.

Lemongrass, Peppermint and Orange

Grapefruit, Frankincense, Lavender and Eucalyptus

Camphor, Lemon, Bergamot and Pine

 In my initial oils from them, I received Peppermint, Grapefruit, Camphor, Eucalyptus, Lemongrass, Frankincense, Lavender, Lemon, Bergamot, Orange, and Pine essential oil. I also received a bottle of their Lavender Vanilla air freshener.

Oregano, Rosemary, Myrrh and Tea Tree

I then was given the opportunity to receive some more oils in exchange for an honest review. This time I received Tea Tree, Myrrh, Oregano and Rosemary.

 Every single oil has smelled amazing! They definitely aren't lying when they claim that their oils are undiluted and 100% pure. There are definitely no additives here! I have found that the "menthal like" oils - such as Camphor, Peppermint and Eucalyptus are especially strong.

 The packaging is wonderful! All oils are packaged in dark amber glass bottles with droppers built into the neck of the bottle. I know I prefer bottles with this design, it's less messy and easier to use. I should also note that the bottles are good quality and they feel sturdy! Each bottle is also carefully labeled, revealing what each oil is as well as scent, origin, plant parts and ingredients. My only complaint is that there are no labels on the bottle caps as well, but that is no large issue. I can easily label them myself.

                                     How do they smell? 

 Peppermint - Described as "Sharp and Minty", it definitely is a strong, slightly sweet mint.

Grapefruit- Described as " Bitter Citrus", to me it smells like a freshly cut grapefruit

Camphor- Described as "Penetrating Camphor", to me it's like a slightly woodier Eucalyptus.

 Eucalyptus - Described as " Herbal and Woody", I'm not sure about woody, but it definitely smells herbal. It has that classic medicinal scent.

Lemongrass- Described as "Earthy and Citrus", that is an accurate description, however it also has a sweet aroma to it.

Frankincense- Described as "Spicy and Woody", it is definitely woody with a hint of spice.

Lavender- Described as " Floral and Fruity", this smells like straight up soothing Lavender to me.

 Lemon- Described as "Sweet and Lemony", it's like a freshly cut lemon or freshly squeezed lemon juice.

 Bergamot- Described as " Citrus, Spicy and Floral", it is very citrusy with a hint of floral.

Orange- Described as "Sweet, Citrus", it is like a freshly cut orange.

 Pine- Described as " Evergreen and Woody", this oil smells extremely earthy but it doesn't smell like the classic Pine scent I've known.

 Tea Tree- Described as "Medicinal and Woody", this is a perfect description. It has a scent similar to Eucalyptus but more woody and earthy.

Rosemary- Described as " Woody and Herbal", it certainly smells herbal; like rosemary herbs.

Myrrh- Described as "Balsamic and Fresh", The scent reminds me a bit of vinegar (I guess hence the balsamic), but sweeter.

Oregano- Described as " herbal, peppery", it totally smells like oregano herbs to me.
                                Do they work? Absolutely. 

Some of you that have been here for a while know I suffer from ear issues - the pressure in my eustachian tubes (the middle ear tubes that equilize the pressure of your ear drums)  is screwed up due to what I'm sure is permanent eustachian tube dysfunction, because of that I have tinnitus in one ear. One evening, one of my ears was feeling congested and it was really irritating me. So I mixed a single drop of peppermint oil and I diluted it with a carrier oil. I applied some to the back of my ear and down my neck, as well as on a cotton ball that I gently placed to my ear (never actually put drops of essential oil into your ear). Within minutes my ear felt a lot better. I have also successfully helped an upset stomach with this Peppermint oil.

 For muscle aches I have mixed the Eucalyptus and Camphor oils; though it didn't take all of the pain away it definitely eased it.

 My favorites so far are the Lavender and Lemongrass. They are wonderful for stress and anxiety! When I was having some minor anxiety attacks, I mixed them and used them for good old fashioned aromatherapy. It totally helped a of to calm me. My mother and I have also found that using the Lavender oil for aromatherapy helps us to sleep.

 My mom commonly complains of itching on her surgery scar (it's over a year old) and she has never really been able to soothe it. I mixed some drops of Eucalyptus and Peppermint oils with lotion and had her apply it - this stuff got rid of the itch for the rest of the night!!

 I used the Tea Tree oil on my scalp to help with dandruff. After generously applying mixed with a carrier oil, massaging it into my scalp and leaving it for about 24 hours before washing my hair, I definitely noticed a difference - I didn't see flakes everywhere!

I used the Oregano oil when I had a post workout asthma attack and it really helped.

 As for the air freshener - I love it, it smells so good and it is formulated without parabens or phthalates. The ingredients are clearly stated, easy to understand and not loaded with mysterious chemicals. I love spraying my pillows and sheets, it makes them smell amazing. My only complaint is that the scent doesn't seem to last all that long. But it is effective.

 For those that don't know, parabens are a series of chemical compounds frequently used by pharmaceutical and cosmetic companies to preserve products and prevent bacterial growth. Phthalates are a group of chemicals used to make plastics more flexible and harder to break. Some believe that these chemicals can cause cancer. Personally that's all I know on the topic, but I sure wouldn't want to be putting a chemical used to soften plastics onto my face. Imagine what that could do to your skin! O____O

 I completely appreciate this company's care of what goes into their products, as well as being cruelty free. I know if I see that on a product, it makes me much more likely to purchase it. I love animals!

 For clarification - I am being 100% honest on this review as I always am in all of my posts. I do not lie or over hype things for the sake of pleasing others.

That being said, I completely recommended you all checking out and buying all of your essential oils from Simply Earth! Not only will you receive high quality oils at a low, reasonable price (unlike other companies that charge $30 for a small bottle for even the simplest oil to extract) but you will be helping people and potentially saving lives. What's cooler than that? I know they have made a life long customer in me for all of my essential oil needs. When I have the money, I'm planning to order an oil or two to try to help my tinnitus. To the lovely employees at Simply Earth, thank you so much for allowing me to try your oils and for increasing my obsession. Also...please make a Rose and/or a Rose Geranium oil!!

Neutrogena Naturals Wipes Review

Disclaimer: This is a sponsored review. I was given this product complimentary from Influenster. Every opinion is my honest, true opinion. I will always tell the truth in my reviews.

This company that I work with from time to time called Influenster sent me Neutrogena's Naturals makeup wipes to try out and review. If you followed my old blog, then you're familiar with Influenster. They are a company that when I qualify, will sometimes send me products to try out and write reviews on. Although they send me free product, every opinion is my own honest one.

This product is made out of 97% natural ingredients and 100% renewable fibers. The front of the packaging says that it contains no harsh chemicals, sulfates, parabens, petrolatum, dyes or phthalates.

With this product, Neutrogena is doing something called the wipe or water movement. Where they are trying to raise awareness for water conservation and encourage us to use less water. This product was made so that you wouldn't need to use water to wash your face. Even better, for every person that makes the pledge to do the wipe for water challenge (I did!) Neutrogena will donate money to The Nature Conservancy. If you would like to pledge and take the challenge too, you can at http://www.wipeforwater.com/ .

I took the wipe for water challenge. For 3 days, I used just these makeup wipes without any water to clean my face. I normally do use a wipe to remove my makeup, but then I would wash my face with a cleanser and brush.

Every time you wash your face, you could be using up to 5 gallons of water! That may not seem like a lot, but trust me it is. Americans waste about 10,000 gallons of water a year! For the 3 days that I participated in this challenge, I saved 15 gallons of water.

Now you've heard the claims, but do these wipes live up to them? Below I have talked about my experiences for each of the 3 days that I took the challenge.

Day 1:

I wore a complete full face of makeup and then some! I had on cosplay makeup and washed it all off with these wipes. This included a lot of eyeliner and concealer. I did end up needing to use two to get it all off. The wipes did burn in a few places but there wasn't any sort of allergic reaction. After use my skin felt so soft and smooth. I'm pretty sure that the wipes did take off all of my makeup. When I applied toner afterwards, I did not see any makeup on the cotton ball. Also: no residue!

Day 2:

That day I wore some BB cream, eyeshadow (with primer), some brow filler and some eyeliner (just on my eyelid, subtle wing). Definitely not a heavy makeup day nor my normal complete full face. The wipe I used took all of it off, I didn't notice any traces left behind. My face felt clean and soft. I did feel a bit of burning but it went away. I also noticed that the wipes are pretty soft! There was 0 residue which continued to surprise me.

Day 3:

On this day I wore a mostly full face but nothing too heavy. So BB cream, eyeshadow with primer, eyeliner, lipstick, brow filler and blush. I didn't wear mascara because it was raining. The blush was Benefit's Benetint - which is a cheek stain (it smells like roses, I love it *^*. I wish Benefit would put out a perfume with that exact scent). The eyeliner was also a pretty dramatic wing.

When I used the wipe I did feel the burning sensation yet again. But it took off all of the eyeliner, lipstick and even the Benetint. After cleaning my whole face I went back with another wipe. There was a tiny trace of BB cream left - I'm unsure of if I missed some spots or they just weren't picked up the first time. But my face was totally clean after the 2nd wipe.

Over all, I really do like these wipes! They seem to remove makeup very well! I didn't like the slight burning but I can overlook that for how well they preform. There is a scent - to me it's sort of odd. It smells like fruit yet there is another note to it.

The wipes are soft and left absolutely no residue. I have used the original Neutrogena wipes on myself as well as clients in the past. I actually wouldn't mind using these on clients as well! I know I definitely will use the rest of the pack! Though I do honestly prefer to still wash my face after using wipes. I would totally recommend giving these a try. In my opinion, Neutrogena makes the best makeup wipes. 

I hope you enjoyed this review and that it made some of you think about conserving water. I know that this whole experience made me think about how much water I waste a day. I am trying to be more mindful of that now.

Korean cosmetics

This is another post that was voted for in one of my polls a long time ago. I am so sorry that it took me forever to post! It's been sitting in my drafts for such a long time, I just never got to it! But, I do keep my word and here it is! Thank you so much to the lovely individuals that voted! I seriously love you for it ^__^. I love talking about Korean cosmetics. Their products are just so fun! I love that I am slowly seeing popular products and brands there begin to be popular here. BB creams, as well as the current popular option BB cushion originated in Korea. So did sheet face masks. Recently Sephora started carrying Tony Moly products on their website.

I am a die hard lover of Korean cosmetics and beauty products. Why? They're awesome AND they have the cutest packaging! Seriously, the packaging is so much better than American cosmetics. Right now, my favorite brand is Etude House who by far has the cutest packaging. I love all of the crazy products they have there! A popular product that seems crazy is a face mask for the lips. I also watch a lot of Korean dramas, some of the actors in these dramas use brands such as Etude House, Holika Holika, Tony Moly, Innisfree and Skin Food. I love being able to use the products that they do. Two of my favorite Korean actors/actresses, Park Shin Hye and Lee Min Ho have modeled for Etude House. The popular Korean group SHINee has also worked with Etude House.

In my opinion, Korean skincare is the best skincare in the world. They have SO many products and options and even cheaper products are top notch.

So what products do I personally own and use?

I own 2 BB creams by Skin79, they make some of the best BB creams! I own the orange vital BB cream and the pink. The orange has a bit of a yellow undertone and dries matte. The pink has a bit of a grey one and leaves a more dewy finish. The pink is a tad bit dark on me so I do only wear it in the summer. I love wearing these BB creams in the summer, they both have SPF and last all day. I REALLY want their green BB cream, I hear it is even lighter than the orange and perfect for porcelain complexion girls such as myself.

I also own Holika Holika's Essential Petit BB cream. It comes in a small tube, great for travel. Great coverage, I never need to use concealer with it. It is my favorite BB at the moment.

The other Holika Holika product I own is called the Jewel Light eyeliner in Pink Topaz. It is a really shimmery light pink eyeliner. I love using it as a highlight in the corners of my eyes.

I own a good amount of Etude House products. Their blush products are my absolute favorite, the packaging is adorable and they're pigmented! First up is the Sweet Recipe collection  Lovely Cookie Blushers in Strawberry Choux, a light sort of pastel pink and Plum Mousse cake, a plummy berry
color.

Next are the Sweet Recipe All Over Colors  in Blueberry Cheesecake (a fuschia/purple color), Strawberry Chiffon Cake (a bright pink) and Peach Sugar Cake (a perfect pinky peach). These are meant as an all over color product for cheeks, eyes and lips. They start off as a cream but dry to a powder consistency. I love using them as blush. They're pigmented and buildable. Plus look at the tin they're packaged in! So kawaii!

Next is the Etude House Baby Mint Choux base, from their Choux base collection which are different color correctors/primers. I have the green one to balance out all of the redness in my face. I have a lot sadly. (In makeup terms - to neutralize/cancel out a color use the opposite color on the color wheel. Ex: use green for redness, yellow for purpley under eye circles). I LOVE this stuff! It has a very silky consistency and also it is a mint color. Most green color correctors are more of a warm toned pea green and don't work as well with my cool undertones. This product works PERFECTLY with them. I need to order a backup tube, as I never want to be without it.

Lastly: my Korean skincare products. I own a bunch of face masks. I have a good amount of PureTree sheet masks, they make their masks with a bunch of different fruit/plant extracts, even honey and hyaluronic acid extracts. I buy packs of 12 of them on amazon, which ends up being around $1 each. They're always super relaxing and make my skin super soft and smooth. I do need to use a moisturizer afterwards though. I always make sure to have a good amount of these around and I usually use one every week. I end up looking like Leatherface (Texas Chainsaw Massacre) when I wear them, so that is highly entertaining.

The Vanedo masks came as freebies with an order of PureTree masks. I haven't tried them yet.

Tony Moly Tomatox. YES the packaging is literally a plastic tomato. So cute! I love this face mask. It makes my skin so soft and it's fantastic for use in the summer. It smells like cucumbers (I know, go figure).

I also have a good amount of samples of Korean products to try (Korean beauty sellers/manufacturers LOVE handing out samples)

Would I use any of these products on clients?

ABSOLUTELY!! Makeup wise, I would not hesitate to use Skin 79 BB creams on a client or the Etude Choux bases. Skin 79 is considered more high end and their BB creams are pricey. I luckily know how to get mine for half price.

I always recommend the Pure Tree face masks to people and would totally tell a client to use one before they come to me to apply their makeup.

Where do I buy all of these products?

Good old Amazon and Jolse.com. With Amazon, just be cautious of who you buy from and read seller reviews to make sure you aren't getting knockoffs. Jolse is a Korean beauty online store. I have ordered from them quite a few times. They are great, I always get authentic products as well as samples and free gifts. Their customer service woman is very helpful and sweet. Their website is safe to order from. ALWAYS pay for tracking! Their tracking costs under $3 and their shipping is always free. Your order will ship from South Korea and you will need to sign for it so you want to be able to track it.

My Favorite Skincare Products!! (Also some skincare tips)

I present to you all: the winner of my last poll! But fear not, I will still write about the other topics you voted for (which ended up being "What's in my purse" and "Korean Cosmetics.) So don't worry lovely readers, you will get to read those posts too. Thank you so much to everyone that voted!! I want to try to give you guys a say in what I write and that gets hard when people don't tell me what they prefer. I am always up for suggestions!

This will be long, my regular readers will know that I am the queen of long posts. But I get that way when I am passionate about something. I love skincare. To my friends, I am a guru of it and they all come to me with any skin issue. This list is forever changing, I always try new products when able. I'm also still experimenting and trying to find the perfect routine. I am in my early 20s, my skin's needs are different than when I was a teenager. When I was a teen, I had near perfect skin save for the redness I have always had. When I hit 19 or 20 my skin changed pretty drastically. In a few years I will have to start using some anti aging products for preventative measures.

Your skin will change with age and even the seasons. Stress is also a huge factor. My skin definitely changes with season being dry during the winter and combination (a bit oily in some spots with normal to dry spots) in the summer. Back to the point of this post (shut up Heather, you'e rambling!). I constantly get told that my skin looks perfect and asked what my secret is. This (along with concealer/foundation to cover redness. I don't bullshit anyone!) list is my secret. Taking good care of my skin as well as butt loads of SPF and staying out of the sun (yay pale girl problems!)


Cleansers

First step to good skin - washing!! Use the correct type of cleanser for your skin type and make sure to wash off all of your makeup.

Lush Ocean Salt

My pot if it has a lot of wear and tear..but because I love it so much! 

I love Lush so so much. They make natural, vegetarian and mostly vegan skincare. They are huge on cruelty free cosmetics/skincare and they even protest against animal testing. I spend forever roaming this store. I could easily work there, as I am very knowledgeable about their products. I would love to work there. You can test all of their products out in store and even have the employees give you free samples. One summer I hung out at the mall so much that I would just walk by Lush and a few of their employees would be at the window or door waving at me, saying hi.

ANYWAY back on topic. Ocean Salt is an exfoliating cleanser composed of sea salt, vodka, lime and some other ingredients. It smells like a margarita. Exfoliation is important for soft, smooth skin and to get rid of dead skin cells. You should exfoliate at least once a week, I do every other day to every two days. Ocean Salt is the absolute best exfoliating cleanser. It is the only one that I use that didn't have exfoliating beads so small it barely did anything or a sharp unsafe exfoliant that wrecked my skin. (Be careful of ST. Ives scrubs. They use sharp exfoliants that will cause micro tears to your skin). It's great for any skin type especially oily.

Philosophy Purity

This is truly a holy grail cleanser. It cleans really well getting rid of makeup and moisturizes. This was my first high end cleanser and still one of the best. It also lathers very nicely. You don't need a lot. It is perfect for those with dry skin.

Soap and Glory Face Soap and Clarity

This cleanser cleans very well and leaves your face feeling fresh. You can get travel sized tube for just $3 at Sephora! When I have particularly caked my face with makeup (like when I use liquid latex) I will use this cleanser along with my Olay Pro - X brush to get my skin back to normal.

Olay Pro - X Advanced Cleansing System Brush

This is a dupe for the Clairisonic. I know I sure as hell can't afford a $100+ brush to wash my face with so I use this Olay one. In my opinion it's just as good and makes my skin so much cleaner than it would be if I just used a cleanser alone. It has 2 speeds and you can change the brush head. For the $20 that I payed for it, it's a steal.


Moisturizers

Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion + 

This is my holy grail moisturizer. This is the reformulated version Clinique started putting out a few years ago. I never tried the original formula. It moisturizes my skin so well and it's light weight. The perfect moisturizer for winter. Unfortunately I can't always wear it in the summer. In the summer I tend to use Olay Fresh Effects Long Live Moisture. This moisturizer is like all Clinique products hypoallergenic and formulated for sensitive skin. They also make a formula for oily skin, which I believe is a gel moisturizer.

Simple Rich Replenishing Moisturizer

This is my favorite for wearing under my makeup. It's moisturizing, sinks in quickly and is light weight. I don't have my own picture here, I need a new bottle.

Tarte Maracuja Oil

This stuff is fantastic for your skin. Tarte puts it in nearly all of their products. I sometimes like mixing a drop or two in with my moisturizer for a boost.

Toner

Clinique Clarifying Lotion 2

I don't understand why Clinique calls this a lotion when it's a toner. My aunt gave me a sample sized bottle of this that she got from a Clinique counter. I have been using it sparingly until I can get a full sized bottle. This is the best toner I have ever used. It cleans all the leftover gunk from my pores and leaves my skin feeling fresh. You apply toner with a clean cloth/cotton ball after washing your face to get all of the gunk from your pores that cleansing missed and to help minimize/close pores.

Acne treatment

I didn't start getting breakouts until I was about 19, with all of the increased stress my life took on. They came rarely in my teen years. I don't seem to constantly have them like I did for a few years but when I do get a zit, I use this:

Lush Grease Lightning

Lush categorizes this as a cleanser. It really has multiple benefits/uses. I use it as a spot treatment, it gets rid of pimples very well for me. Two of my Lush addict friends with more problematic skin swear by this. It can be applied as a spot treatment, oil minimizer and even used on mosquito bites.

Makeup remover

See The Dawn Cherish face cream

This is an indie natural skincare brand. My mom knows the lady that created the brand. She gave us some jars of this product and I am in love with it. It truly is my favorite makeup remover. This product is a face cream and it has so many different uses. It can be used as a moisturizer, skin soother and of course a makeup remover. It has super simple ingredients ( lavender floral water, almond oil beeswax and lavender essential oil. That's it!) and has a lovely lavender scent (I love lavender).

It can be used on the body was well. This removes my makeup phenomenally! I will rub a little into my skin to break down my makeup and wipe off with a warm wet washcloth. It removes every trace and moisturizes! It's perfect for when I'm feeling lazy with my skincare regimen.

I have used it on sunburn and when I have accidentally burned myself while waxing my eyebrows. It really helped with the irritation. This company is also cruelty free certified by Peta.

Lush Ultrabland 

Ultrabland is a makeup remover similar to Cherish. Rub it onto your face to break down makeup and wipe to remove. It doesn't have the beautiful lavender scent though. It is a really good makeup remover and removes every trace.

Face Masks

I love my face masks, they pack so many benefits for the skin. I try to do at least 1 a week. Sometimes I do them twice a week, or I will use a few different ones with different benefits on the same night. My favorite combination is a pore clearing one, exfoliating one then a moisturizing one. 

Glam Glow Thirstymud

I don't have my own image of this as I don't have any. I got a sample of this from Sephora and fell in love. Though the price is steep, I plan to buy it. I know it's hard to justify a face mask so pricey. My secret is to just not wash it off. I exfoliate my skin then apply this mask, normally before bed and sleep with it on. It works much better this way rather than washing it off. No other product hydrates my skin so well or makes it so smooth and soft. It truly is astounding.

Tony Moly Tomatox

This is a Korean skincare product, I will discuss it further in a future post. It is meant to brighten skin. It does a good job at brightening the redness in my skin as well as makes it feel soft. It's a very soothing mask.

Pure Tree Sheet Masks

These are my favorite sheet masks.They are Korean. This will be discussed further in a future post as well. They do some great things for skin and are super relaxing/soothing. The aloe and the green tea ones are my favorite.

Freeman Pineapple Enzyme Mask

This is an exfoliating face mask. It contains not only exfoliating beads but also enzymes to exfoliate. It exfoliates so well! I love using it right before I use Thirstymud. It also deliciously smells like Pineapple. It's super affordable and comes in a huge tube.

Boots Botanics Ionic Clay Shine Away Mask

This is a charcoal clay mask. It will pull out all of the blackheads and dirt lodged deep in your pores. The cool (to me) and gross (not to me) part is you can see little dots where all of the junk was pulled. It is the best mask of the sort that I've used. If you have oily, acne prone  skin or just want a good clean use this. I need another tube, but amazon doesn't sell it and the closest store that does is in another town ;____;


Bodily skincare

Although facial skincare is focused on the most, so is skincare for the rest of your body. It really doesn't take much work - just a good soap and lotion.

Bath and Body Works Shower gels and Lotions

I love Bath and Body Works. If there's a good sale (there is almost all the time) I will splurge. There are always sales and coupons (their after Christmas clearance and the clearance sale they have in the summer being the best.) I once was able to get $60-$70 worth of products for $20. I love going with my best friend and fellow B&BW enthusiast Vicky, we will easily spend two hours in that store. Okay, enough rambling. This is a topic to not get me started on - you'll never get me to shut up.

Their shower gels may seem over priced but a little bit goes a very long way, it lathers up very well. A bottle really does last a long time given you don't use too much. Their lotions are fantastic too and well worth it. The scent from the lotions really does stick. I have stopped buying drugstore body was and lotions, as I get far better results from Bath and Body Works. My favorite scents include: Vanilla Bean Noel, Winter Candy Apple, Beautiful Day and Honey Sweetheart.

Lush Sea Vegetable soap

Yes, I am rather obsessed with Lush. I am also lucky to have friends (though with my doing) that are equally as obsessed. I'm such such a good friend/skincare guru hahaha! One of mt close friends got me a bar of this soap as a gift. I had used Lush's Shower Jelly (they are SO fun and unique! Anyone want me to write a review about them?) But never their other soaps. I officially want to just buy all of their bars of soap. I love them! This particular scent makes me smell like a mermaid and leaves me feeling fresh and clean. It doesn't dry out my skin and it lathers well. Lush also tends to standardly cut their soaps into pretty decent slices so it will last a long time. I really want to get more of these!

Lush Dream Cream

I get bad eczema on my arms during the summer. I don't like going to the dermatologist, they like to prescribe harsh steroids that will wreak your skin. I heard about this product from a Lush employee and got a sample to use during my next break out. I used it last summer and it is a life saver! With every use my eczema gradually disappeared! It has lavender and oatmeal to calm irritated skin. I will apply this to my face after waxing my eyebrows (I do my own). I like using it in combination with Dream Wash on eczema

Lush Lemony Flutter

A thick, lemon fruity pebbles scented cuticle butter. Totally saves my nails/nail beds each winter. I also like using this as a lip balm.

Lip care is important too. Exfoliate (I love Lush lip scrubs), use a moisturizing lip balm (I love Nivea Kiss of Smoothness and the Softlips Cube) and before sleeping, top with Vaseline to seal in moisture. Do these steps and kiss chapped lips goodbye!

I know that was hella long so thanks to those that stuck with it! Skincare is really important to not only keeping yourself looking your best but keeping your skin healthy. The earlier you start practicing good skincare, the less you will visibly age. Hence why I am 21 going on 22 and still get told I look 16...I even somehow get 13 sometimes. It is even important (and not to worry: acceptable!) for men to take care of their skin. Guys: Sephora as well as Dove and Nivea have wonderful lines for you to care for your skin. More and more men are starting to use skincare products.
