Sailor Moon Crystal Episode 20 Review/Recap

Hello my lovelies! I meant to have this post up a way sooner. But I'm having a pretty crappy week. I've been dealing with a very irritating health problem among other things.

I haven't been feeling well at all and for most of the week I really did not want to work on/do anything. I waited until I was feeling more like myself before continuing to work on this post. After all, if I weren't myself this post wouldn't be half as good or interesting.

Also, this blog has officially gotten over 1,000 page views!! YAY!! :D. 

It took me at least a year to get 1,000 views on my old blog and I just started this blog in January!! I am beyond excited. Thank you so much to everyone that reads this blog and supports me <3 


On Sunday I watched this Sailor Moon Crystal episode again and took careful, detailed notes as usual so that I could write this review. So many things happened this week and I was spazzing a lot so here I am writing you another review! As always, if you haven't seen the episode this is a super duper spoiler alert post. 

All images in this post are my own. I took pictures of the episode as it played on my TV screen. Some image quality may not be up to par but that is because of the brightness on my tv.

This episode is entitled Crystal Tokyo: King Endymion. It was basically story time with Endymion. Yes really, he talked for most of the episode. But that's alright, I would listen to my baby talk for an hour *^*.  Any incarnation of Tuxedo Mask/Endymion = husbando.

This episode started with a bit of recap of the previous one. Chibi-Usa is showing the group (Sailor Moon, Sailor Venus, Tuxedo Mask, Luna and Artemis) her mother.  She then sees Diana who runs over to Neo King Endymion. I forgot to mention this in the last SMC post, but I'm really glad they chose to put Endymion in all white instead of purple. It looks classier and more regal. I love it *^*.

My friend, Jeff (AKA ReimHelix from twitter. Hiiii! :D) pointed something out to me that I need to mention: Diana's eye color changed!! This is her eye color at the end of episode 19:

I normally don't notice these things (because I'm too busy being a spazz) so kudos! I have heard many people complain about small animation issues in this series.

Now continuing our recap: Chibi-Usa runs over to see her dad and is saddened to find out that she runs right through him. (Oh noes! ;___;). 

King Endymion welcomes the group to Neo Crystal Tokyo and the Crystal Palace. He then reveals that he's a "spirit without a body (I thought of him as a hologram) after Usagi notices that he has no reflection. .....Really Usagi?? That's the first odd thing you notice? He then reveals that his true body is in a room laying unconscious.

Endymion (every time I hear his name, I think of the Activia commercial and mentally sing Endymion! Like the song in the commercial goes Activia!) reveals that he is indeed the future Tuxedo Mask (*cough* no shit Sherlock *cough*).

Mamoru's look of surprise is priceless! Cutie! Endymion then prompts Chibi-Usa to introduce herself as the princess of the Silver Millenium - Endymion's and Neo Queen Serenity's daughter.

Can we talk about how freaking adorable Mamoru looks????

Usagi and Mamoru freak out over the fact that Chibi-Usa is their future daughter. 

The surprised looks were so funny and cute! I was DYING when they panned to their embarassed looks. Mamoru's look of embarassment was adorable bahaha! YES Mamoru, now everyone knows what you and Usagi have been up to ;).

 I need to point out how adorable I find it that Endymion calls Chibi-Usa small lady.

Also, when Usagi is told that she's Neo Queen Serenity...why the shock?? Seriously?! Usagi you should have figured that out,everyone else did (well everyone meaning the audience). Plus didn't you notice she looks like you? I feel like a lot of the shocked faces in this episode were overly dramatic...shouldn't be that shocked over some of the obvious things!

Now back to story time with Endymion! Venus asks him why Neo Queen Serenity is covered by the silver crystal. He tells us that she almost never left the palace, but did one day in a panic. Then the huge explosion we were told about in the last episode happened. The Crystal Palace was blown away. In an act of protection, the silver crystal immediately covered Serenity, Venus, Mercury, Mars, Jupiter and Endymion. Diana and Chibi-Usa were the only ones spared. Endymion had in the past told Chibi-Usa stories of Serenity's time as Sailor Moon so she went to the past to find Sailor Moon to help.

Diana then introduces herself to Luna and Artemis as their daughter. Of course insert overly dramatic looks of surprise. Their surprise was so freaking adorable though!! I was squee-ing! 

So Kawaii!! Ahh!! 

Tuxedo Mask then asks Endymion why he never aged. In more story time with Endymion he explains! The life span of the Silver Millennium family is 1000 years! At adulthood they stopped aging. Neo Queen Serenity was crowned as queen and gave birth at 22, at that time she stopped aging. All of this is due to the power of the silver crystal. In fact, everyone on earth gained this power as well afterwards and they enjoyed a peaceful reign...until the Black Moon attacked. People began vanishing due to the large black crystal in the center of Neo Crystal Tokyo which is called the Malefic Black Crystal. Earth started to deteriorate. The silver crystal was the only way to defeat it and the only person that can use it is Serenity.

The Black Moon claimed the dark forbidden planet, Nemisis as their own. They attacked earth to steal the crystal and wanted to conquer Earth. We then find out that the Malefic Black Crystal is the black moon's energy source - which all of it's members wears as earrings (yes, those fabulous earrings are really evil...I still want a pair)

Suddenly, amidst story time Usagi and Mamoru begin to disappear! Endymion exclaims that they need to hurry back to the past. Multiples of the same person can not be in the same time and space. 

I'm only posting this because I thought the Sailor Moon/Neo Queen Serenity comparison was beautiful *^* NO SHAME HERE!

They're also too close to their future selves which is causing a strain. Sailor Moon tells him that they need to save Mercury, Mars and Jupiter (whom I thought everyone had forgotten about....I kind of did for a while). Endymion says that they are probably held captive on Nemesis and that if they come back later he can help. That line honestly cracked me up. It sounded like something out of a video game.

Endymion asks Chibi-Usa if she can defend herself and adorably pats her on her head. I love any interactions between the two so much, it's so adorable!! 

Tuxedo Mask speaks up and says he would risk his life to protect her. Endymion says how strange it feels to speak to his past self face to face (duh, Endymion) then asks Mamoru to take care of his daughter.

Someone (I think Venus?) tells Endymion that they had no idea that Sailor Pluto even existed. Endymion replies to this with a little info on Pluto. 

Pluto is perfection *^*

Pluto has a different role than Serenity's four guardians (the innder senshi). She descends from Chronos, the god that controls time and she protects the door of time alone as her duty.

The group then goes to the time door to see Pluto. Endymion asks her to give Sailor Moon the time key since it is an emergency so that she can reach Pluto without getting lost. He lets Sailor Moon know that Pluto is the oldest senshi in existence and that she can make decisions very well. He proclaims that she can definitely help them. At this point Pluto, Endymion and Sailor Moon were conversing while everyone just stood in silence. I couldn't help but laugh at Venus' and Chibi-Usa's faces! They look so bored! I bet if Jupiter were there in place of Venus she would have mentioned Endymion reminding her of a past lover xD. 

The senshi warp home and hilariously end up in a heap under Venus' butt xD. These pics are for my Sailor Venus fanboys (Hi Jeff! XD). I was dying when either Usagi or Chibi-Usa (I can't remember which) gave her crap for being heavy xD. Meanwhile poor Mamoru is at the bottom of the heap with everyone on top of him. 

From there, Mamoru insists on bringing Chibi-Usa home with him and being responsible for her. Usagi has one of her jealous shit-fits and freaks out on him claiming he chose Chibi-Usa over her, the other senshi and the future then runs off dramatically. Calm your tits Usagi, you forget that Chibi-Usa is your daughter. Stop being jealous thinking your man is in love with your daughter, 'cuz that's ridiculous. The scene cuts to her crying in bed, lamenting over how stupid she is being jealous and that it's natural for Mamoru to want to protect his daughter. (FINALLY! See, Usagi? I was right.) But she is upset that he chooses to protect her on his own rather than include her...which I don't blame her for being upset about. They're supposed to be a team.

Another scene cut to Mamoru dramatically looking out the window as Chibi-Usa is tearing up in bed missing her dad. 

The next morning, Mamoru wakes up (well hellooo Mamoru *^*) to (surprise, surprise) see Chibi-Usa is missing. She yet again is at the time door. 

I love any interaction between Pluto and Chibi-Usa

Pluto gives her crap for being there alone and Chibi-Usa says that she's used to it (awwwww ;___; cue some feels). Also that she's glad her and Pluto are friends.

 She then walks into the Crystal Palace where we see Endymion, the senshi and the cats bodies laying unconscious. She goes up to Endymion. Chibi-Usa seems so much closer to Endymion than her mother.

Diana is shown sleeping with Luna and Artemis, which almost made me cry ;__;. Chibi-Usa goes up to her mother, crying asking for her to open her eyes. Endymion's spirit/hologram form thing is shown watching her from afar.

Next we see Demande with a hologram of Princess Serenity. Hehe I actually remember now why he has that, but fear not! I shall not spoil it for you all. Rubeus and Esmaraude pop in and they're fighting as usual. 

Esmaraude asks Demande for one more chance to use the ability that the Wise Man gave to her - Code Extra, Operation Re-Lax. I need to mention that I love Esmaraude's outfit. She always looks like she's going clubbing! 

Here's Demande because he's pretty. Yes, I'm a fangirl. BBY!!!

Esmaraude appears and attacks Chibi-Usa. The senshi and cats luckily show up at the right moment to rescue her.

Venus Love Me Chain for my fanboys:

Tuxedo Mask catches Chibi-Usa. He looks hella pissed off. You don't fuck with a man's future daughter! Esmaraude uses the Malefic crystal against them. Sailor Moon tries to attack back but her Halation won't activate. Esmaraude attacks the senshi and sucks their energy. 

Endymion lends Tuxedo Mask his power so that he can use the Tuxedo La Smoking Bomber. Yay for Tuxedo Mask being useful!! Esmaraude is defeated. We are told that Sailor Moon can't attack because she can only use her crystal in the past.

Demande and Wise Man appear. We see a flashback comparing Sailor Moon to Serenity.

Demande activates his third eye, suddenly Sailor Moon can't look away from it or move.  He attacks her and holds her in his power.

And that's the end of the episode! In a way not much happened but we got a LOT of new information thanks to story time with Endymion. I did really like this one. We got to see more of Endymion which is always a plus for me. Plus there were some really funny moments. After I watched this episode, I went back to read some of the manga. I read the chapters that episodes 19 and 20 were based off of. I never really payed that close attention before but a lot of the scenes from Sailor Moon Crystal are taken frame by frame from the manga! I knew they followed the manga closely but I didn't realize how close.

So now I'm even more excited for the next episode! I will not have the time to write a review for that episode though. I'm sure I'll mention this again next week but my birthday is next week! I will be extremely busy the weekend after my birthday (which is the weekend that we'll get the next SMC), as my birthday party is that Sunday! I've been planning my party for a little over a month now, I'm planning to write a post about it, because it's going to be cool if all works out!

Korean cosmetics

This is another post that was voted for in one of my polls a long time ago. I am so sorry that it took me forever to post! It's been sitting in my drafts for such a long time, I just never got to it! But, I do keep my word and here it is! Thank you so much to the lovely individuals that voted! I seriously love you for it ^__^. I love talking about Korean cosmetics. Their products are just so fun! I love that I am slowly seeing popular products and brands there begin to be popular here. BB creams, as well as the current popular option BB cushion originated in Korea. So did sheet face masks. Recently Sephora started carrying Tony Moly products on their website.

I am a die hard lover of Korean cosmetics and beauty products. Why? They're awesome AND they have the cutest packaging! Seriously, the packaging is so much better than American cosmetics. Right now, my favorite brand is Etude House who by far has the cutest packaging. I love all of the crazy products they have there! A popular product that seems crazy is a face mask for the lips. I also watch a lot of Korean dramas, some of the actors in these dramas use brands such as Etude House, Holika Holika, Tony Moly, Innisfree and Skin Food. I love being able to use the products that they do. Two of my favorite Korean actors/actresses, Park Shin Hye and Lee Min Ho have modeled for Etude House. The popular Korean group SHINee has also worked with Etude House.

In my opinion, Korean skincare is the best skincare in the world. They have SO many products and options and even cheaper products are top notch.

So what products do I personally own and use?

I own 2 BB creams by Skin79, they make some of the best BB creams! I own the orange vital BB cream and the pink. The orange has a bit of a yellow undertone and dries matte. The pink has a bit of a grey one and leaves a more dewy finish. The pink is a tad bit dark on me so I do only wear it in the summer. I love wearing these BB creams in the summer, they both have SPF and last all day. I REALLY want their green BB cream, I hear it is even lighter than the orange and perfect for porcelain complexion girls such as myself.

I also own Holika Holika's Essential Petit BB cream. It comes in a small tube, great for travel. Great coverage, I never need to use concealer with it. It is my favorite BB at the moment.

The other Holika Holika product I own is called the Jewel Light eyeliner in Pink Topaz. It is a really shimmery light pink eyeliner. I love using it as a highlight in the corners of my eyes.

L:Plum Mousse Cake, R:Strawberry Choux

I own a good amount of Etude House products. Their blush products are my absolute favorite, the packaging is adorable and they're pigmented! First up is the Sweet Recipe collection  Lovely Cookie Blushers in Strawberry Choux, a light sort of pastel pink and Plum Mousse cake, a plummy berry
color.

Next are the Sweet Recipe All Over Colors  in Blueberry Cheesecake (a fuschia/purple color), Strawberry Chiffon Cake (a bright pink) and Peach Sugar Cake (a perfect pinky peach). These are meant as an all over color product for cheeks, eyes and lips. They start off as a cream but dry to a powder consistency. I love using them as blush. They're pigmented and buildable. Plus look at the tin they're packaged in! So kawaii!

Next is the Etude House Baby Mint Choux base, from their Choux base collection which are different color correctors/primers. I have the green one to balance out all of the redness in my face. I have a lot sadly. (In makeup terms - to neutralize/cancel out a color use the opposite color on the color wheel. Ex: use green for redness, yellow for purpley under eye circles). I LOVE this stuff! It has a very silky consistency and also it is a mint color. Most green color correctors are more of a warm toned pea green and don't work as well with my cool undertones. This product works PERFECTLY with them. I need to order a backup tube, as I never want to be without it.

Lastly: my Korean skincare products. I own a bunch of face masks. I have a good amount of PureTree sheet masks, they make their masks with a bunch of different fruit/plant extracts, even honey and hyaluronic acid extracts. I buy packs of 12 of them on amazon, which ends up being around $1 each. They're always super relaxing and make my skin super soft and smooth. I do need to use a moisturizer afterwards though. I always make sure to have a good amount of these around and I usually use one every week. I end up looking like Leatherface (Texas Chainsaw Massacre) when I wear them, so that is highly entertaining.

The Vanedo masks came as freebies with an order of PureTree masks. I haven't tried them yet.

Tony Moly Tomatox. YES the packaging is literally a plastic tomato. So cute! I love this face mask. It makes my skin so soft and it's fantastic for use in the summer. It smells like cucumbers (I know, go figure).

I also have a good amount of samples of Korean products to try (Korean beauty sellers/manufacturers LOVE handing out samples)

Would I use any of these products on clients?

ABSOLUTELY!! Makeup wise, I would not hesitate to use Skin 79 BB creams on a client or the Etude Choux bases. Skin 79 is considered more high end and their BB creams are pricey. I luckily know how to get mine for half price.

I always recommend the Pure Tree face masks to people and would totally tell a client to use one before they come to me to apply their makeup.

Where do I buy all of these products?

Good old Amazon and Jolse.com. With Amazon, just be cautious of who you buy from and read seller reviews to make sure you aren't getting knockoffs. Jolse is a Korean beauty online store. I have ordered from them quite a few times. They are great, I always get authentic products as well as samples and free gifts. Their customer service woman is very helpful and sweet. Their website is safe to order from. ALWAYS pay for tracking! Their tracking costs under $3 and their shipping is always free. Your order will ship from South Korea and you will need to sign for it so you want to be able to track it.

The Cat Lady Post

Konnichiwa!! It is finally here, the post I have been teasing at for ages! The cat lady post, yaay!!! I had at least 2 or 3 people request this post, so I worked really hard to make it worth the wait and desire.  Warning: this post is full of cat pictures.

I am indeed a crazy cat lady and proud of it! My cats are like my children. Even when I had just one cat, I was a crazy cat lady. I love animals. When I have a pet, I love them with my entire heart and more than anything else. I remember as a child just losing goldfish I would be SO upset and have to have a funeral and bury each one.

I currently have 2 cats, their names are Autumn and Nina. Most of the time they hate each other and fight/avoid each other. But lately, they are starting to become friends and hang out together.

Autumn is an orange, long haired mixed breed. We aren't entirely sure what she is but she does have tabby markings and we think she's part Maine Coon. She's 2 years old, going on 3 in July. She's such a shrimpy little turd! She was the runt of her litter and is tiny still. She is such a little cutie! Look at that face!! <3 <3 <3. She has this really cute pieces of fur between her feet. Autumn's my little baby. I adore her so much. Although both my mom and I love her, she's my cat. I love her so so much and she knows it! I'm her favorite person on this planet. Every single day when I wake up, she freaks out meowing and running around excited to see me.

She constantly lays on me and sits on me. She loves licking my arms. The reason we call her little shit: she loves causing trouble and being a shit. Her favorite thing in the world to do is to run in my room while I'm sleeping. She will jump on top of me, then run over to my face and get in my face so that I know she's there. Then she'll proceed in sitting on me and cleaning herself. Then eventually laying down to sleep....right in the middle of the bed hogging it. Any time I'm sad, she knows. When I lost my cat Whiskers she stayed by my side for 3 days. She refused to leave me alone. She's always hyper and happy to melt away my sadness. She LOVES when I give her attention. It's hilarious when she'll swat at my mom sometimes for trying to pet her but will let me.

Yup, this is my life. 

As you can tell...I take damn selfies with my cat. If that isn't crazy cat lady level then I don't know what  is.

She's a very happy cat, always looks like she's smiling. She loves fancy feast and goes nuts for it EVERY. Single. Night....then sometimes won't even eat it.

As with every pet I've ever had she has nicknames. We call her Autie, Autie B (her middle name is Breeze), little shit (yes, she answers to that).

For Autumn's first birthday I had a birthday party for her. Hey, if people with dogs can have parties for their dogs then I can for my cat! I baked her a cake and some of my friends that love playing with her came. They even brought her gifts.

I don't have many pictures of Nina :( . She likes to hide so I can't take her pictures. 

Nina is a beautiful calico - a silver/grey and brown color. We just adopted her in January. She is very fluffy and built big and heavy like Harry was. She's such a sweetie. She immediately warmed up to us. She loves being brushed and pet. She growls when she's mad which is really funny. Nina though I love her too is my mom's cat. She will walk around our house meowing sometimes if she's left by herself looking for someone to pet her or play with her. She makes these adorable little noises when she's excited. Her nicknames are Nini, Nina beana, and chubby bunny.

My crazy cat lady ways began when I got my first cat, named Harry (after Harry Potter) when I was a kid. I think around 2001-2002ish. We adopted him, he was at least a year old when we got him. Where I live, there is a side road that leads to a farm that is maybe a 20-30 minute walk. My aunt and I used to walk to take walks a lot and visit the farm. She was a teenager when I was a kid, so I looked up to her and we hung out a lot.

One day when we were walking there to see the goats, one of my neighbors was driving by and stopped us. They asked us to take this cat to the farm to see if they'll take it. My aunt agreed so on we went. When we got to the farm, we were horrified. We could see the goat's ribs, they were so skinny. We then went to see this little group of cats near a barn. The cats had sour milk....it was literally green. They were covered in fleas and ticks. One poor little baby had pus in it's eye. It makes me so sad to even recall :( I can't handle even hearing about animal abuse on the news. On the local news recently they showed a puppy that was abused and has to have its legs amputated. I cried for a good 10 minutes for this little puppy.

Anyway! There was no way we were going to leave this cat there. We actually went to the farmer's house and offered to bring their animals to the vet...that just ended in a fight and a door slammed in our faces. So we went home and took the cat with us. In the end, my mom decided to let me keep the cat and convinced my dad to let me too. And so that's how I got my Harry!

Unfortunately I lost Harry last year. I still miss him so much. He had been a big part of my life for years.  He was a very odd cat. The neighbors that had him before I did abused him. They used to throw their cats into a pool and force them to swim and they used to burn the whiskers. But he was a happy cat. He was a VERY big and fluffy cat. He was a fat cat until he got sick and lost weight. But his bone structure was also huge! I had him for most of my life and he was always there for me. He could always tell when I was upset and would stay close. He was a mostly out door cat so I didn't see him all the time. He REFUSED to come inside during storms. He had a spot underneath my house he would hide. He survived during 2 hurricanes staying outside. He loved chicken and would sit like a dog any time someone was eating some. He was a really good cat and is missed a lot <3

Autumn as a kitten

Autumn was the next cat that I got. We got her when she was a tiny little kitten. I still remember the day we got her. She was so tiny and SO cute! My mom knew a lady giving away kittens. I was in a very depressed funk so my mom got her for me and she pulled me out of that. Her and Harry did not get along and fought all the time. But Harry was well over 10 years old when we got Autumn. They didn't start to get along until Harry's last days. Autumn would lay or sit next to him

The day after we got Autumn, I woke up and went into the living room. She ran up to me and started jumping wanting me to pick her up. I knew it was fate.

We got Whiskers at the end of 2013. When we got Whiskers, we had 3 cats in the house! All orange ones too! I love the gingies (what I call ginger cats). Whiskers was Autumn's mommy. The lady that owned her had to get rid of her cats. Whiskers didn't have anywhere to go and would have been put in a shelter, so we took her. She was a very sweet and adorable cat. She was very shy and hid from us for a good 6 months. She made these really cute noises all the time and sounded like a squeak toy when she meowed. Sadly we only got to experience 7 months with her. After she finally started to get comfortable with us she shockingly and suddenly died. It happened very quickly and I was devastated. She had been hiding for a day and when I finally found her, she was dragging her legs unable to move. I picked her up and within 20 minutes she was gone.

Autumn and Whiskers knew they were related. They became really close and like best friends. They were constantly together. They would look out the window together watching birds and would sleep together at times.

We were then left with just Autumn. My mom and I felt a bit empty and planned to get another cat. In January my mom went to a shelter and instantly fell in love with Nina. And so here we are! Nina is getting comfortable here but her and Autumn constantly fight.

I have mostly had cats for pets. I went from fish, to hamsters (I have a VERY interesting story with those) then to cats. I love cats so much.  People think that they are selfish, rude animals but they aren't. They're very loving and consume your heart. Plus they're so cute!! Cats are also very intelligent.

So there you have it! I love my cats so much <3 <3 when you have a pet they really consume your soul.

My Asuna cosplay

Hello my dears! I truly did not intend to be writing again so soon. I spent so much time scheduling posts yesterday and I thought that I was done today. But I did a cosplay yesterday and had some requests to post about it, so here it is with spamming of my face and all.

I cosplayed as Asuna from Sword Art Online. She is one of my favorite female characters of all time. She is definitely on my waifu list (that's weeb for I love her a lot). She is a very strong, badass character. She doesn't need a man to protect her, she can literally fight amazingly herself (which is why she is also called Asuna The Flash and then The Berserk Healer in season 2). Sadly, in the 2nd half of SAO season 1, they destroy her strong and fierce personality by having her held hostage and nearly raped. I still love her though!! 

I was so mad that I didn't have a Kirito plushie to pose with. I've been meaning to get one for so long too! Now on to le piccys (piccys is what I sometimes call pictures/pics). :

In this one I sort of look like Rangiku from Bleach. I'm not the only one to say so!!

All of my cosplays focus on the makeup because I'm a makeup artist. In anime cosplays, the makeup is super important. People do not naturally look like anime characters, so we need to know some tricks to make ourselves look more like them. This mainly involves some tricks with contouring and eyeliner. The makeup for this look took me about 2 hours to do, the eyes taking the longest. I had been gradually researching Asuna's look with anime pictures as well as cosplays for a month to get a feel for what I wanted to do. That is important with any cosplay. 

Oh hey the hair on this one sort of looks like Rangiku too. At least this wig comes with a few cosplay options!

For Asuna, I went with a nice, clean face covering all redness and imperfections. You know, going a little crazy with the concealer. Asuna does have fair skin and I luckily am blessed with a similar complexion. For the eyebrows, I Just very lightly shaded in my own actual brows. I noticed after I had put the wig on that my eyebrows were a tad bit dark for the wig. Sadly, it was too late to fix it and I do not own a brow filler in the shade needed. I didn't work at shaping and defining any sort of arch. Asuna's brows aren't really like that. So I softly shaded. Women in Asia typically don't have arches or defined brows like we do in America. 

 I did some contouring, mainly around the cheekbones, the nose and the crease of my eyes. For the eyes, I used a white eyeliner, a black eyeliner and a matte white eyeshadow. I did whatever I possibly could to make the eyes appear larger and more Asian/anime like. I then added a little light blush to my cheeks for a bit of color (a natural tea rose sort of link that I feel Asuna would wear) and a highlighter. 

 For the lips, I used a mixture of a peach lip gloss/cream (Nyx Xtreme Lip Cream in Nude Peach Fuzz) and a milky, nude pink shade (Nyx Creme Brulee Buttergloss). Asuna wouldn't wear a bright lip color. 

The wig is an actual Asuna wig! This is my first cosplay where I have actually had the correct wig!! It is a Japanese fibre wig, in a light orange with brown undertones color. Asuna's trademark braid/ponytail is in the back. It is a very long and voluminous wig. Very high quality and it feels like real hair. There also wasn't any sort of fake shine to it. I do however need to work on wig styling! As an amateur cosplayer, it is pretty hard! Either my head is small or the bangs on this wig were a tad bit long. Oh well, at least I know now!

I don't own any sort of contacts. Asuna actually has sort of amber colored eyes. If I truly wanted to, I could have photoshopped the eyes to obtain the correct color. But truly, this is a cosplay where the eye color accuracy isn't important. So you're looking at my actual eyes. 

My outfit is really just a plain white t-shirt. I don't own Asuna's costume so I just used what I have. I like to think of it as every day Asuna! I also threw in my Yui's heart necklace (featured in yesterday's post).

Yes, when I'm in cosplay I take WAY too many selfies! 

And that's it! I was blown away by the reactions people had to this, everyone on  my twitter really enjoyed these pictures. I am rarely proud of my work but I am so proud of this!! Thank you to everyone that supports my cosplay work. It takes a lot to put ones self out there like that, especially in the cosplay world where people can be very harsh. It helps tremendously to have people cheering you on and appreciating your work. If I didn't have the support that I do, I would never post any of my work! So thank you guys, you're all awesome <3. As Seen on Anime + Monday rambles

Hello lovelies! It just wouldn't be a post of mine if I didn't ramble! But I know you guys don't mind, in fact I know some of you enjoy my ramblings. Game of Thrones came back yesterday, after a wait that felt like an eternity! I was going to write a review, but I honestly can barely remember what happened! I just remember seeing cute butts and gay sex. I guess that really caught my attention!

I also, after stalking Amazon for weeks  for it noticed that Sailor Moon R Part 1 is up on Amazon! I was so excited, because I have been waiting to preorder this and have had the amount (I thought I) needed saved up. Then I saw the price....$44.82!! *womp, womp*. What is this fuckery??? The last two sets (season 1 part one, season 1 part 2) were just $29.99 each! So why the sudden price spike? I am seriously still really mad about this. If it were any series, I would refuse to pay so much (if the price stays that way, I would be paying about $90 for the entire season!!!). But, this is Sailor Moon and I have always said I will buy every single volume no matter the cost. Doesn't mean I need to be happy about it though.

I have so much blog work to do today, I hope I can get it all done! I feel like I'm spending more time rocking out to the Wicked soundtrack right now than actually working.(You're welcome neighbors!!)  I feel like I haven't sung in a month! I also feel like I'm doing a LOT of anime posts lately. I try to keep a good variety as this is a multi interest blog. But I know a lot of readers enjoy and come here for my anime posts. I can also consider this a fashion post.

Anyway! Today I'm going to review some purchases of mine, since they will be short reviews I thought I would combine them into 1 post. This may become a post series that I do where I combine a few short reviews that have something in common into 1 post. This also really helps me to wade through my list of insanity - AKA my list of posts to do! Today's theme is things that you may have seen in your favorite animes! But how do these replicas compare? 

Sword Art Online Asuna's Yui's Heart Necklace

Mine is indeed the same shade of blue. It only looks green-ish in this image because of the candle I placed the necklace on to take the picture, 

This is a necklace replica of Yui's heart, which Kirito turns into a necklace for Asuna. There are quite a few versions of this floating around on the internet. I got mine from a Chinese seller on Amazon. I have to say it compares really well to the original! It is on the same type of black chord that Asuna has hers on. The stone is also the right color. It's made of plastic but doesn't look cheap. Mine has a slight crack running through it, but it isn't noticeable when wearing it. It was only $4 so really I don't mind.

Madoka Magica, Madoka's soul gem necklace

Though they do sell each soul gem color from the show as well as the rings, I chose Madoka's. Madoka is my favorite character and I liked how the pink one looked best. The detail on this is pretty good! It is also real metal so it is a bit weighty. The stone in the middle is really a plastic sort of bead. I wish that the stone looked more like a stone and was bigger. So not completely accurate, but close. If you didn't care about tiny details, then this would be good for a cosplay. Otherwise I would try to find a more accurate version on Etsy. 

Sailor Moon, Usagi's Silver Crystal necklace

The details on the chain

I got this necklace from an Etsy seller called Shoujo Gems (you can find it here: https://www.etsy.com/listing/158443087/silver-imperium-crystalginzuisho?ref=shop_home_active_2 ). I have been wanting a replica of Usagi/Princess Serenity's silver crystal necklace forever! Finally I have one. The seller kindly used a lobster clasp on mine rather than the one that came standard. The crystal is smaller than I expected but it is beautiful and I had such a hard time finding a necklace with the correct shape for the crystal. This one looks perfect so the size doesn't bother me. The crystal is on a chain with glass beads. The craftsmanship of this is fantastic. It is so well made and very beautiful. 

Sailor Moon Odango Clips

I ordered these from an Amazon seller (the name escapes me) about a year ago. I wasn't so much concerned with their accuracy as the fact that they were on Amazon and were the first pair of odango clips/shields that I had found anywhere. They do not look perfect compared to the anime/manga. The gem in the middle is faceted instead of flat/curved. It also has this odd marble effect.  The size is rather large as well. But the colors are correct, the clips are good and they do look good for a cosplay. Far away you don't notice much of a difference. 

Sailor moon earrings

Yes, these are the officially licensed earrings! They cost around $15 depending on where you buy them. My pair arrived with the paint chipped and it's too much of a hassle for me to return (long story) but I did receive a refund and painted over the chips.

The moons are metal painted yellow. But be warned, they stupidly put a logo with black lettering on the back! Not to worry, if careful you can easily scratch the lettering off and leave no trace of it. The pearls are plastic. The earrings are the perfect size for cosplay! If Sailor Moon were to be real, these earrings are the exact size she would wear them. They are mostly accurate. The loops where the pearls and moons meet are obviously not on Sailor Moon's actual earrings. Her earrings also (to me anyway) look like they are post earrings, rather than this "hook" type. For cosplay they are perfect though! 

Sailor Moon lotus crystal

Yes there are a LOT of Sailor Moon items on this list. That's because I'm a huge fan (as a lot of you know)! I own a lot of Sailor Moon related jewelry. If anyone wants me to do another post with my Sailor Moon necklace collection, let me know!

Not an official product at all! This isn't even marketed as being from Sailor Moon, just a crystal lotus. But it looks EXACTLY  like the lotus form of the silver crystal! I have the 4" version, and it is the size that the actual crystal would be. I love to pick it up and pretend that I'm saving the world. It is beautiful, when light hits it it lets off a gorgeous rainbow effect. It's actual crystal. There is also a little stand on the bottom so there won't be any wobbling.

Sailor Moon tiara

This is an officially licensed tiara. It actually is Sailor Mars'! The reviews that I saw online all said that the official Sailor Moon tiara's gem was too pink! So I opted for Mars' and it is perfect! It is made out of a almost faux leather material, but it looks fairly accurate when worn. Though it may look cheap it is good quality.
