Pizza Making Tips

Hello my dears! How is everyone today? I am feeling some type of way. I just finished the latest Tokyo Ghoul episode maybe 10 minutes ago...oh the feels! The song at the end made it so much worse. Do any of you watch Tokyo Ghoul? I still need to catch up on Death Parade (I'm behind by two episodes...ooops!) and apparently that will give me some feels too. I'm MEGA behind on Cute High Earth Defense Club Love...I really need to fix that. Today is another cooking post!! Yaaay! :D I have had this one prepared for a while actually, just hanging out on my notes app on my tablet. I have so many posts pre-written (mostly unfinished) that I'm having such a hard time deciding which to post! I also try to keep a variety going, not consistently just posting the same thing. I have so many fashion related posts already written, but other topics not so much. I have been working on the cat lady post, but it's taking me forever to write. Okay, Heather stop rambling! On to the point of this post!

Pizza is a wonderful thing. Just about everyone loves it and it's pretty simple to make. It's a great activity/meal to make with children. So if you have some of your own, babysit or you've gotten the task of keeping neices or nephews entertained, have them help you make pizza. It's fun and you can add whatever you want to it.

A pizza I made back in February

I do admit, when I make pizza I don't make my own sauce and I normally don't make my own dough. My grocery store is awesome and sells pre-made pizza dough and sauce. You can easily buy pre made dough and sauce. I know Ragu makes a decent pizza sauce. If you can't find pre-made dough you can easily make it. There are pizza dough making kits available and you could also make your own from scratch.

Though I haven't used it in years, I have a simple recipe for calzones and the dough recipe should work for pizza as well. After all, a calzone is just a reverse pizza in a pocket. This is a recipe I used in cooking class in middle school, I saved all of my recipe hand outs from it. There were some good and simple recipes, I still use the soft pretzel recipe. If you would like a different recipe, Pinterest is a great resource. I find a lot of recipes there.

For the dough you will need:
1 package dry yeast
1 C warm water
1 1/2 Tsp sugar
1/2 Tsp salt
1 1/2 C Flour
2 Tbsp Oil

First in a large bowl you want to combine the package of yeast and water. It is VERY important that the water be warm, as it allows the yeast to grow. Add the oil and mix. Next add sugar and stir. Sugar is also very important, it acts in a way like food for the yeast and feeds it. It's important as well as the WARM water to help it rise.

Add the salt an flour gradually and stir until a ball forms. Always add flour gradually in a recipe unless otherwise stated. If you don't, you will end up with a hard to stir mess. Turn the ball of dough over onto a floured area and knead for 5 to 7 minutes.

Grease a ziplock bag and put the dough in it, refrigerate over night. The next day or whenever you make your pizza, preheat the oven to 450 degrees.

Now, onto some tips for making pizza.

You will want to use a pizza pan to make a pizza, but in a pinch a regular pan/cookie sheet works as well.
No matter if you made your dough or went pre-made always let it sit and come to room temp before attempting to spread it onto your pan. Cold dough is harder to stretch.

When I make pizza, to start stretching I like to hold it by one end in the air and stretch, sometimes wiggling it like you're airing out some sheets. It has always helped me get a good amount of the dough stretched and it stretches easier than if I were to stretch it on the pan.

I personally never grease my pan, it makes it harder for the pizza crust part of the dough to grip the sides of the pan.

After you add your sauce and before you add the cheese, sprinkle some Italian seasoning on top of the sauce. It makes the pizza more flavorful. You can also sprinkle some over the top of you cheese and toppings if you wish.

For stuffed crust, don't fold shredded cheese into the crust, use string cheese.

I normally use a 3 cup bag of mozzarella for pizza to make it extra cheesy.

Let it sit a few minutes before cutting to allow the sauce and cheese to settle.

Cut with a pizza cutter, not a knife.

And there you go, a yummy pizza! If anyone uses any of these tips/tries to make a pizza let me know! If you show me pictures I may even feature them in a future post. I hope that these tips help. I try to make my cooking posts super simple to follow so that those of you that are cooking challenged can easily make something. After all cooking is not hard, contrary to popular belief. If anyone ever has post suggestions or things they would like me to write about your suggestions and comments are always welcome! Hope you all have a lovely saturday <3

Musical preference

Everyone has a different taste in music. That's just a fact in life. There are so many different genres of music as well as languages to deliver it in. I have a SUPER varied taste in music. Most people look at me and think I just listen to heavy metal and just music with screaming. I do not look out of place at Slipknot concert. But there's more than meets the eye! Sure I love heavy music but I love so many other genres too. Don't judge a person's music taste by how they look.

Even my friends mostly think this way. I will never forget the time that I was showing a friend how I listen to Japanese music. They wanted to see if I could sing to it. So I put on the girliest, poppiest song I could find to sing to. Their look of shock was priceless! Yes, I love Japanese music. That comes from watching anime a lot. Admittedly, a lot of music I listen to in other languages I wouldn't ever listen to in English. I just love the feel and soul to it. Something about it just sounds so much better in another language. My favorite Japanese band is Kalafina. I also love Babymetal, The Gazette, Namie Amuro, Linked Horizon, Aoi Eir, SID, Yuya Matsushita. I could keep going! I love a lot of OPs/EDs from my favorite animes. Put on some Sailor Moon songs and I will sing that shit.

I love Kpop as well. Put on "The Boys" by Girls Generation and I will probably (horribly) dance. (GIRLS GENERATION MAKE YOU FEEL THE HEAT!) I love the music from my favorite Kdramas. I LOVE Jang Geun Suk. I like some SHINEE too.

I love classical music and orchestral soundtrack type music. I listen to it a lot while I sleep and when I read. My favorite classical piece is The Devil's Trill Sonata by Giuseppe Tartini. It is so hardcore and beautiful. I love Vivaldi's Four Seasons. I love Vanessa Mae and Lindsey Stirling. Lacrimosa (Requiem) by Mozart. I am addicted to the Sword Art Online soundtracks....I listen to them every single day (Yuki Kajiura from Kalafina also sings on them!!). I love the Harry Potter ones, Sailor Moon Crystal, FMA Brotherhood, Kuroshitsuji, Madoka Magica. They're all so beautiful.

I am in love with Nox Arcana - this wonderful orchestral group that composes gothic/Halloween music. Each album is a different theme. Their Edgar Allan Poe album, Shadow of The Raven is a masterpiece. I love beautiful and hardcore sounding orchestral music. Strings are my favorite - put a violin or a cello in it and I'm in love. The Vitamin String Orchestra (they do string composition covers of songs) are wonderful.

I also love the harpsichord with a passion. Which leads me to Emilie Autumn's Victorian industrial music. Her music is so unique and I love it. It's basically Vicorian music paired with industrial. I'm obsessed with anything to do with the Victorian era so I found myself drawn to her. I love obscure music like hers. IAMX is another obscure band. The Birthday Massacre, One Eyed Doll (the lead singer tweeted me once and I screamed like a little girl),Mindless Self Indulgence. Tatu.

I don't listen to popular music or top 40 all that much. But I do really like some artists. I LOVE Katy Perry (I know every one of her songs except for most of her latest album) and Lady Gaga. Pink, Beyonce, Christina Aguilera (Fighter is one of my anthems), Jessie J, Fun, Ke$ha (I love her first 2 albums), Gwen Stefani. I could probably throw in more.

I love broadway music with a passion. Idina Menzel is my idol. I love the music from Wicked, Rent, Sweeney Todd, Phantom of the Opera and Les Miserables so so much. I'm very often shrieking out to Defying Gravity in the shower and trying to perfect my Fiyero riff in No Good Deed (FIYEEEEEEEERRROOOOOOOOO!). I used to be able to shriek some super high operatic notes like Christine Daae.

I also love acoustic songs. They soothe me. Never Shout Never (also obscure. I was a big fan as a teen...then I stopped listening because of Christofer Drew's shitty/rude attitude. I recently started listening to them again), Chase Coy, Automatic Loveletter.

Lastly yes, I do listen to a ton of heavy music. I love metal, Alternative, punk, pop punk and rock. My favorite bands are My Chemical Romance, Black Veil Brides, Avenged Sevenfold, New Years Day and Green Day. I love AFI, The Misfits, Motionless In White, Sleeping with Sirens, Slipknot, Escape the Fate, Suicide Silence, Asking Alexandria (their first 2 albums), Blink 182, All Time Low, Aiden, No Doubt (hey they were ska before they turned poppy!)The Used, Evanescence, Picture Me Broken,I can go on forever guys!

I love classic rock too! I was raised on it, I grew up hearing a lot of Metallica, Fleetwood Mac, Journey, AC/DC, The Rolling Stones, Foreigner, Pat Benatar The Eagles. Woodstock music, my dad was obsessed with Woodstock. I LOVE Heart, Anne Wilson is a Goddess. The Runaways, I love Joan Jett. Nirvana, Queen, The Cure, Hole. I am always so inspired of the ladies in rock n roll that paved the way for the rest of us.

I hate country with a passion. I hate rap though admittedly like Nicki Minaj and Eminem. I can rap the entire first verse through the chorus of Super Bass. No shame!

Anyway, I hadn't talked about music in a while! I thought I would broaden your horizons and show  another side of myself. What are all of you guys' favorite bands?? Comment and let me know :D

How I became an Otaku

Hello my lovelies! I have returned! I know I haven't posted all week. I am glad that this blog has been on my terms, not on a scheduale so I can post when I want and not feel pressured or stressed to post. Truthfully I wanted to post something earlier this week. I did even try a few times. Not sure if anyone noticed but I haven't been online as much this week. I've had a cold and if I don't feel like crap, I'm just too tired to do anything. I tried a few times to write something but I was too tired and my brain refused to cooperate (curse you writer's block!).
Anyway, I thought I'd just talk about something and do what I do best: ramble! So I can easily post something via app. I'm due for an anime related post, so I thought why not talk about where it all started?? This sure makes for an interesting post.
I have been into anime for as far back as I can remember. It truly feels like I've been into it my entire life. Some of my earliest memories include watching Sailor Moon. I was hugely into Sailor Moon as a kid in the 90s. It was on the old Toonami back in the day, I watched Toonami all the time every single day. I didn't know what anime was back then but I loved these cartoons. Sailor Moon was typically on at 4:00 PM on the week days, I'm pretty sure Dragon Ball Z was on before it. Tenchi in Tokyo was on after, because I LOVED watching my Tenchi after Sailor Moon.
My bus always dropped me off at the bus stop around 4:00 and depending on how fast you go, it's a 5-10 minute walk from there to my house. Every day I would run home (often tripping and tumbling down the hill that my street is on) in order to catch my beloved Sailor Moon. My grandmother always watched me, since my parents were at work. So when I got home I would then have to battle with her for control of the TV because her "stories" (soap operas) were on at the same time.
It was such a special show for me. It was the one show where the girls were the heroes and saved the men instead. (this is also why I loved Powerpuff Girls). I loved seeing all of their transformations and watch them kick some ass! I had some of the dolls and this transformation brooch toy. The button inside of the middle played music.

(Not my picture, found this on google)
I played with them like crazy. I also had a few of the comic books (not manga, actual comic book from MIXX) and videos. I
I also was very into Pokemon when it first became popular in the US. Back when you weren't cool (not that I ever was) if you weren't trading Pokemon cards. I of course collected the cards, had videos and other various toys. From there I got into Digimon, Cardcaptors and Yu Yu Hakusho.
My anime love faded a bit over the years until I met a friend that shared a bond with me: a mutual love for Sailor Moon (you can read about this in my last Sailor Moon post, I will link it when I can!). During our Sailor Moon obsession revival we got into other animes and then into manga. At this point anime wasn't all that popular. We were seen as pretty geeky, being obsessed with this show that had been off of the air for years. Not that we cared at all though. I started reading the Fruits Basket manga and various other random ones that my town's library had. They literally had the most random volumes of series like Ah My Goddess, Fruits Basket, Azumanga Daioh and Chobits.

My best friend and I got really into a series called Hot Gimmick. My friend was convinced she was Hatsumi from that series. I was totally obsessed with Inuyasha and was hoping I would fall down a well and meet a sexy half dog demon man. All of my birthday and Christmas money went towards buying manga and over priced anime at Borders. Every weekend I would beg my dad to go to Borders and try to get him to buy me manga xD.
Then Naruto premiered on Toonami...and it was everywhere! A lot of people watched it and for some reason, manga became popular. My middle school started a manga section and it was so popular! We often had to fight with each other over who would check out which book. People that weren't even into it were reading manga. Eventually all of us manga/anime people found each other and would talk/hang out in study hall. We were all into Naruto so then I decided it would be cool to start a Naruto club. It was the dorkiest yet coolest thing. Now I just find it hilarious. We all chose characters to role play...I ended up being Sakura (before she irritated me). I was interchangably called Heather-sensei and Sakura-sensei.
I was the leader of the club, so I was made squad leader. And Kakashi was my husband...I was even obsessed with him back then! Every single day I would wear these ridiculous wristbands (the terry cloth, sweat collecting gross kind) that had these metal plates with the leaf village logo on them. I hardly ever took them off for like a year and people thought I was the weirdest individual ever. I also wore Naruto dog tags every single day....I even insisted on wearing them in a school photo (of which will not be seeing the light of day). I was quite the tomboy.

Here is a drawing I did in middle school from my Naruto club notebook (I still have it!!! ). Clearly, Kakashi was labeled as my man (back off bitches!) xD and apparently he "rox!". Luckily my artistic skills have vastly improved.

We studied jutsus from the manga and anime and would sit in study hall practicing the hand symbols. We all even made little "Ninja ID" cards for the club that we carried around. We had a damn Chunin exam! I legit wrote up a test for everyone....they actually seriously took it and I graded it. Then we had a "combat" part of the test. Everyone had fake battles with fake cardboard shurkiken and kunai. Then one stupid girl took it too seriously and tried to fight people for real. That's when I ended the club because this one person kept getting carried away. I wasn't about to get in trouble because of them!
One of the actual grading sheets....crossed out for some reason. I hope you guys are enjoying this hilarity as much as I am.

When I got to high school, I did still like anime and manga but I wasn't as into it. I got really into bands and soon my band posters replaced my anime ones. My life was all about school, friends and my beloved bands that helped me through so much. And of course, Harry Potter. I was still the "weird girl that sists in the corner reading those weird Japanese comic books". I had manga with me a lot, I often kept 2 books at a time (1 novel, 1 manga) with me to avoid having to waste time talking to ignorant people I was often placed in classes with. I had the Absolute Boyfriend books with me a lot, which drew some brows.

But seriously...can I have a guy on my doorstep like that? Hahaha. With my luck it would be a creep with ill intentions.
Then one saturday night in 2011 I happened to be browsing on Facebook and one of my friends was freaking out. "Put it on Adult Swim, they're playing old anime". So I did and low and behold, as that year's April Fool's Day prank, Adult Swim had Toonami. I immedietly got on twitter and started talking about it. I was freaking out. I stayed up that entire night watching the shows until 6 am. Partly because I wanted to watch all of my old favorites, partly because I was waiting for Sailor Moon. I had such a blast watching them and tweeting with people discussing it. All night, a lot of people as well as myself talked about trying to do something to bring Toonami back.
And so the bring back Toonami movement began! From that night, up until Adult Swim announced its return I tweeted like crazy campaigning with so many others to bring it back. Along the way I met so many kind, amazing people working hard towards the same thing. When Toonami premiered on the first night of it's comeback during memorial day weekend of 2012 I felt a huge sense of victory to say the least. I began staying up all night every Saturday night watching anime and talking with people, making new friends and sharing bonds over anime. From there I got super obsessed with it, more than I have ever been. I found myself watching mostly anime. I also found myself with mostly anime fan followers, in the center of ani-twitter (anime twitter). I soon discovered that slowly a lot of the band posters were being replaced with anime ones.
So here I am now! Anime has done so much for me. It has been there to distract me during the darkest times in my life. It has helped me to meet some amazing people and make so many friendships. Especially Toonami. I wouldn't have some of the awesome people offline and online that I call friends if it weren't for the existance of Toonami and anime. It helps me and one of my closest friends (also a major otaku) stay in touch and bond. We often meet up to discuss anime/cosplay. I am so very thankful for that. I have made so many bonds and strengthened bonds because of anime. It has made me not feel so alone and gives me something to be passionate about.
Anime helped me to show others my talent with makeup through cosplay and it helps to give me a creative outlet. It has allowed me to expand my portfolio in ways I couldn't have otherwise. So I am forever grateful for the existence of anime.
Although most of my family refers to anime as "stupid Japanese shit" and various other crude terms, I actually have two younger cousins that are into anime as well. Their mutual interest has helped me to become closer to them. One cousin is 15, her and her parents moved away to Georgia when we were kids. I hadn't seen her for years until a few years ago. When I saw her again, I learned that she was really into anime. She was into Black Butler and cosplaying as Ciel before I even saw the show! When we got talking about the subject it was like she never left. When she was younger, we were close. She was like my little duckling always following me around.
My other cousin is 12. I see her ever once in a while, my mom and I make a point to get together with my aunt and her at least once a month. My cousin looks up to me a lot and always wants to hang out with me. We usually didn't have much to talk about except her friends and school with our age difference. She recently got very much into Pokemon and Yugioh. So every time I see her we talk about anime! :D. I've turned her into quite the otaku, I'm proud. She's already watching subbed anime...and she got to it on her own! I showed her some clips on youtube of Sailor Moon and she really wants to watch it. The last time I saw her she said she was reading manga from the library and asked me to reccomend some series. She saw my Sword Art Online button on my bag and wanted to try reading the book. She also wants to read some Sailor Moon manga. It makes me so glad that I'm passing this wonderfulness onto someone. I'm hoping one of these days I can have her over and just show her a bunch of shows....I hope I can figure out what would be appropriate xD.
Do any of you know of popular animes that would be appropriate for her age? I sure as hell can't show her Hellsing.
That was really long but I hope you all enjoyed it! This took me hours to write last night because I've been so tired and just have no energy ;___; .
So now I want to know readers, what was your first anime and how did you become an otaku (if you are one)? What does anime mean to you? Comment and let me know! I love conversing with you all in the comments and hearing your points of view ^__^

MG Collection: Nadie Review!

Remember this bag from way back in my January Fashion Lust List post? I got it! I was looking on Amazon for a new bag and came across this brand, MG Collection. I was amazed at their selection and prices. Though I wasn't 100% certain of the quality. As with everything I buy I scoured the internet for reviews. I couldn't find actual pictures of this bag from people that own it anywhere. I found only 1 blog review from this brand...that's it! The reviews on Amazon for other MG Collection bags were mostly good, so I took the plunge. I decided it was my duty to review this bag and let everyone know about the brand.

I took this picture in the snow so that you call could see the sequins better.

The back of the purse. I apologize for the abrupt cropping of this image. As you can see towards the bottom, the image got corrupted and glitchy. I couldn't get a better one with good lighting.
First off: the bag is gorgeous! Even better than the picture on Amazon. The sequins sparkle well. The only issue: I have long hair and two cats. I found that hair got caught between the sequins. Totally fixable though.

I was really impressed with the material! I didn't expect it to feel as sturdy as it did, it literally feels like real leather. I haven't tested the handles for sturdiness much yet, but I would be careful with them just in case. I love that this bag came with an attachable shoulder strap and metal loops for that on the side! It's a great idea especially when I'm shopping and already carrying a bunch of things. The strap is also adjustable.

The zipper feels like it may get caught at some point, but if you treat the bag with care and not whip the zipper open, it should be fine.

The inside of the bag is really roomy and has a bunch of pockets which surprised me!

Being OCD with keeping things organized in my bag I LOVE pockets! There is of course the large roomy area. 2 side pockets for a phone or ipod. Then 2 zippered pockets, one being attached to another pocket. There are also 2 very small pockets on each side of the bag where the strap attaches.

I am very impressed with this bag! It was a steal for the price, it looks expensive but isn't. I recommend trying an MG Collection bag, I have quite a few more on my wishlist myself. They make great quality and really beautiful fashionable bags.

Now, I am trying to figure out what I want to do for some future anime and music posts. I'm not going to bother with a poll, because only 1 person (and you're awesome whoever you are) normally votes in them. So PLEASE comment with any ideas/anything you want to read about that's anime or music related. It takes maybe 1-2 minutes to comment and you can do it anonymously. I have some ideas of my own, but I would really love some feedback as to what you guys want to see!

Cheesecake Mousse recipe

Hello my dears! I hope you all had a lovely weekend. This whole daylight savings time thing is REALLY throwing me off. How about you? I am looking forward to Spring though, this winter has been hellish.

I realized this weekend that I haven't posted a recipe in a while! I thought it was time to post a dessert recipe! This one is super easy and no baking is involved so those of you that are cooking challenged can easily make this. I originally found this on Pinterest though altered it a bit.

I made and served it at one of my Halloween parties, where I colored it to look like candy corn and garnished it with some. It was a huge hit.

I wish I took better pictures of this, instead of these messy ones.

To make this, you will need:

1 package of cream cheese
1 small tub of cool whip
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1/4 cup milk
1 Tsp vanilla
Food coloring

You'll want to start by beating the cream cheese in a bowl with a mixer until it is fully smooth and creamy.  Gradually add the powdered sugar while mixing. Then gradually add the milk while mixing. Add the vanilla. I always add extra vanilla to everything, so I normally end up pouring in the amount called for then adding an extra dash.

Beat the mixture on medium speed for an additional minute. Drop in the entire tub of cool whip to the mixture, fold it in to mix. Then stir until well combined. Stir in food coloring as desired. I love using red food coloring and making the mousse pink, it makes it so kawaii!

It's important to regrigerate this for at least a half hour before serving. And there you go! Super easy, fun and of course good dessert.

If anyone tries this one, let me know! If you try one of these recipes and send me a picture, maybe I'll post it! Either way, hope you enjoy! I have a bunch more requested recipes to post and a few of my own that I want to post. So fear not! When I remember to, I will post more! I just try to keep a good variation of posts and not post too many of the same type too close together.

What's in my purse?

Hi everyone! Wow this took me forever to post. I'm so sorry ;___; T~T. But it's finally here as promised! If you remember, this was voted for a while ago in a poll I had. Since writing this post/taking the pictures I have switched bags but I do still use this one and I still have all of the same things in it.

I have a ton of shit in my purse, but it is organized for the most part. I get very obsessive about random things floating around my purse sometimes so I like to keep them separated into small bags. With my last purse I had like 3 little bags. Luckily the bags I use currently have pockets to help organization. I keep a lot of things with me as I like to always be prepared (you should see how much I pack when I am staying over night somewhere) and I'm first to admit I can be high maintenance.

Here is my bag, it's a Hello Kitty tote bag that one of my best friends gave me as a gift.

My other bag, I will actually be posting a review of hopefully soon. I have a bunch of buttons all over this one and a Green Day patch I sewed on. Here are some of the buttons:

I also have a Bath and Body Works pocketbac holder. B&BW is LIFE!! One of my 3 best friends, Vicky and I are obsessed. I don't care if it looks tacky, I need easy access to my hand sanitizer. My current scent is Angel Food.

It kind of killed me pulling everything out of here to take pictures, I had just re-organized it prior to taking these pictures ;___; .

So here are the items in my bag:

In one side pocket, I have a small bottle of lotion.

It HAS to be from Bath and Body Works, always. Right now I have the scent Sweet Pea. The Hello Kitty face thing is a compact mirror (my favorite one ever). I got it from a Sanrio store. I keep a travel size spray bottle of one of my favorite perfumes, Vampire. I also want to get a small atomizer or tiny rollerball bottle to put in another perfume. I love my fragrances. The little silver and black thing is a mini flashlight, it comes in handy a lot.

In the other side pocket I keep a car charger with a USB cable that splits into 2 different types of USBs to charge phones. It is a must for when I go on my adventures with my friends so that my phone won't die. The compact with the bow is a small compact brush. I hate carrying full sized brushes, but I need one for my long hair that gets tangled easily.

In the big area, I keep everything else.  I always have my phone with me (not pictured) and half of the time, I bring my ipod (isn't my case so cute??). I put them on the 2 cell phone pockets that are on the inside of this area. I also like to keep a phone sock in my bag so that if I need to quickly toss my phone in, it won't get all scratched up. Also whatever lipstick I am wearing that day.

Here is my (fabulous) wallet and change purse. I seriously can not live without a hinge wallet. I do need a new change purse though, this one is really hard to hunt for in my bag. I did find another one on amazon that I am in love with.

My keys. I just automatically keep them in here so that they never get lost and I never forget them.

I keep them on this old Black Veil Brides lanyard of mine, they're one of my favorite bands.

I'm sorry for the slight blur ;___; . My  key ring contains a house key (though boring, I really want a cute key cap for it), a car key, an Avenged Sevenfold Death Bat, a CVS card, a card to a beauty supply store in the mall that I love (I buy all of my nail polish there), a really old and beat up Kakashi key chain, some keys to a padlock and a Ciel Keychain that one of my best friends got me at Epcot Japan in Disney World.

I keep a small clear bag which contains a self put together first aid kit which includes tissues, eye drops, band aids, mole skin bandages (to fix bra underwires when they poke me and for blisters), a pill case and various other things. I also keep my headphones in here, wrapped with a bread tie so that they won't get tangled or lost in my bag. If my headphones don't stay in my purse, I will lose them for months. I also keep a small thing of qtips. I constantly need Qtips for something.

My inhaler is essential for, well my life to stay in tact. I have asthma. I actually have terrible lungs between asthma, having surgery as a child and years of secondhand smoke from my parents. I keep it in this cute little sock pouch.

I know, all of this looks hella odd! I keep an old pocketbac bottle filled with my favorite powdered dry shampoo with me. For whenever my hair is looking gross and I need to freshen up. It's easier for me to carry than a travel sized can of the spray on kind. I keep a tic tac container (which I decorated with zebra duct tape) filled with hair pins and hair ties to control my hair. I also keep a small container with some  hair product in it for when my hair gets staticky or frizzy to kind of weigh it down and keep it in place.

My sunglasses! I'm too cheap to go buy an actual case for them, and they were really cheap sunglasses so I keep them in a soft old sock (yes it's clean!!!). It works and protects them from scratches, though it's sort of awkward pulling a sock out of my bag in public. Also there is a mini travel sized lint brush. Having 2 very fluffy cats, this comes in handy.

I try to keep mints and at least 2 individually wrapped tea bags in my purse at all times. I can't be without my beloved tea. I always try to have English breakfast/ plain black tea.

Lastly - my makeup bag! I actually don't travel with much makeup for myself. I use quality products and take measures so that I don't need to re-apply. Though sometimes in the summer when I sweat like crazy (I don't fair well in heat) or I know I will be out all day, I will toss in a little sample container of whatever BB Cream or foundation I'm wearing that day, along with some powder

I like to keep a travel size can of Avene Thermal Spring Water in my bag, all the time. It's fantastic for refreshing on a really hot day. It also helps to keep my makeup fresh and to sort of re-moisten it when it's looking dry. I keep a tube of my favorite concealer - NYX HD Photogenic Concealer. It has a wand applicator making it easy to apply on the go. I keep some sort of easy to use on the go makeup remover. Right now it's a makeup remover pen by ELF, I would like to get a travel sized pack of makeup remover wipes. I like to keep an eyeliner for if my eyeliner runs and I like to have a lip balm around for when needed (pictures is the Soft Lips Cube). I also keep a mini OCC lip brush in a plastic case (to avoid getting lipstick all over the inside of my makeup bag) to apply lipstick more precisely.

Okay, so now you've seen everything I carry with me in my bag! As you can truly see now, I like to be prepared for anything that may come my way. I get that from my father. I hope you enjoyed this post, you can tell a lot about a person by what they keep in their bag...and now you all know I'm crazier than you thought Hahahaha. I hope this gave some of you some ideas of what to keep in your bags. Thanks for reading and (possibly) suffering through this long, droning post. Love you all!!

Me & Video Games: I LOVE 90s Games

Hello lovelies! I have returned. I almost wasn't going to post today because my back is killing me. Funny story, I think I pulled something in it picking up one of my cats. She's really heavy. I have one cat that is really small and one that is huge (not really fat, just a largely built kitty). Would anyone be interested in a cat lady post?

Anyway, I am posting through the pain (and the folding chair I have to use as a desk chair) because I not only was really excited to share this post with you all, but I have an announcement! I have a small collaboration with a Storenvy shop I love called Worship 13. They make really awesome horror/creepy and Halloween themed jewelry. It's totally my perfect style. You may recall that I featured their Crystal Ball Ring in my February Fashion Lust List post. The store owner has kindly given me a discount code to share with all of you dear readers!! So visit http://worship13.storenvy.com/ and use the code "kawaii13" for 10% off of your order!! I highly recommend checking them out, I honestly love their work so much. You can find this special code any time on the side bar of this blog.

Housebound

Hello dear readers! I hope you are all well and not having too bad a case of the Mondays. I know I have a case of the Mondays, I just want to sit around and watch this new Kdrama I'm addicted to all day.

I watched such an interesting horror movie saturday night called Housebound. I haven't seen anything quite like it. It's an independant movie on Netflix streaming if you would like to check it out.

Housebound is set in New Zealand and it's about a young woman named Kylie who gets in trouble with the law and is put on house arrest in her mother's home for 8 months. Her mother believes in ghosts, but she is a skeptic. Strange things begin to happen, Kylie's mother is convinced that the house is haunted while Kylie thinks she's just crazy.

Amos, a security guard/probation officer is an amateur paranormal investigator. He offers to help investigate the haunting, things only get worse. Quite a few unexplainable incidents occur which convince Kylie that there truly is a haunting. My favorites include a scene with a demonic teddy bear and when a man is stabbed to death (the lights go out, the lights flicker on for a moment and you see a figure standing there. They flicker off then back on and this man is stabbed by this metal object).

Kylie finds this teddy bear with a "record your own message" feature. It suddenly begins talking on its own in this creepy demonic voice and moving. So she throws it in the fire when it won't stop. But of course this isn't the end of the bear, as it shows up again later burnt up and talking demonocally.

We learn that the house was once a halfway house and a teenage girl was murdered there. Her murder remains unsolved and Kylie with Amos' help tries to find out what happened to put the haunting to an end. But can she find out before she is killed? That's as much as I'm going to tell you!

This is such a unique horror film. It is by no means a typical haunted house variety. This film actually combines quite a few different types of genres. It starts as a ghost story but ends as a slasher. It is totally unpredictable. I haven't seen an indie film as thrilling as this in a long time.

It is well acted (with the exception of the scene where the mother is choking). There aren't any stupid "the cat made a noise" scares. It is a breath of fresh air from the typical horror movie. I did really enjoy it and it held my attention. I'm very picky with the horror genre as of late. If I stick with it longer than 20-30 minutes then it must be good. If you are a horror fan, I highly suggest checking this one out. If you do, let me know your thoughts!
